Nemanja Matic and Slobodan Rajkovic will spend the season playing in the Dutch league following loan moves to Vitesse Arnhem.
Midfielder Matic, who turned 22 this month, made three sub appearances for Chelsea last season, his first at the club, and featured during the pre-season just completed.
His fellow Serbian, a 21-year-old central defender, has yet to play for Chelsea but Rajkovic (pictured below) already has experience of football in Holland having spent time on loan at PSV and FC Twente where last season, he was part of the side that won the league.
The players will be looking for more top-flight experience at Vitesse who finished 14th last season. They are managed by Theo Bos, who had a long playing career at the club, and are in action away to Feyenoord at the weekend.
Look like Vitesse Arnhem that own by Roman friends will be our second reserves team..more towards first team action...I think after this more and more Chelsea players especially the players that still in the plan for the future will be loaned to Vitesse Arnhem...and Vitesse Arnhem can be the transition club especially when we want to buy south american players without permit..just like how we did with Alex...Roman you are so genius..!! Hahahaha

Chelsea new boy Ramires wants to gatecrash Carlo Ancelotti's Premier League title charge.
Brazilian midfielder Ramires compared Chelsea's start to the campaign to a high speed train but has revealed that Ancelotti has told him he may get his debut against Stoke on Saturday.
Ramires, who made an £18.2m switch from Benfica to move to London, said: "I cannot wait to play my first game for Chelsea. I've spoken to the manager and that could happen this Saturday.
"My debut will be incredible for me because I've always dreamed of this chance. It will be a great moment for me.
"Chelsea have begun the season like a locomotive engine but the season is long and the matches are not always easy. For me, Chelsea is the favourite for the title and I want to be in the starting XI. That is my target."
Ramires is also settling into London and has been sightseeing as well as training hard since his arrival earlier this month.
He added: "London is wonderful. I have visited the city with my wife Islana and it's enormous and very interesting.
"I want to be a success in the Premier League, stay for a long time and enjoy my football on the pitch.
"I am working hard every day in training hoping to get my opportunity. To play at Stamford Bridge in front of the fans will be perfect.
