maybe.. coz when you open the back cover for over 1 sec it shut down. But the weird thing is, i just drop it into my normal basketball pants lycra cloth, which impossible to have enough friction possible to open the battery cover, but the phone restarts also.

weird.. but many complaints bout this too. See what Dell can come up with to fix this issue..

Yea, mine is US set.. but i know US and UK streak all facing same problems about the battery cover la..

And the other thing is the camera button.. really have to press it quite hard after the AF to snap.. normally will miss the snap button..

the touchscreen 1 cant get the AF work very good..

going to get another streak.. aihs.. try see got same problem or not..

wanna try 2 units see got differences or not.. lol... if the newer 1 i get now no such problem then the old 1 for modding use lo..

Yea.. the top row menu, battery meter tat row can detect anymore.. then the icon on the left side whole row cant detect.. then the bottom touchsensor also weird weird.. when type sms need press above the keypad a bit to key in alphabets...

buying form ebay also cheap.. can save a few bucks..

dunno.. dismantling the phone now to check wires..

yea.. i think i pressed to hard when applying the sp coz extaract excessive bubbles.

buy in dell US online la.. USD 19.90 only.. Tats a rip off man..

Well.. its all fixed now... dismantle the whole phone.. guess the warranty is voided if Dell knew.. XD..

every phone reached my hand sure very pity 1.. i always dismantle and see inside..

The Dell Streak inside really very shocking. The mainboard and such.. you would never expect Dell to pull off something like this.

I did realize when you poke the screen with too much pressure your phone will restart, this is due to the screen is just right on top of everything in your phone. Too muich pressure the phone cant withstand it then poof, restart. Most of the mainboard parts are hidden at the camera and the speaker section.

The case/housing itself is thin enough to get cracked if you pulled or applied too much pressure when dismantling it.

I didnt manage to take any pic coz really wanna fix my touchscreen problem..

Both have to see la.. test see both unit have same prob or not.

got my 2nd streak and seems like its fine..~ the 1st unit a bit troublesome tho.. but still can bear with it..

Yea.. so far tested so much the 2nd 1 seems ok.. only the first unit having some problems..

i also dunno how to explain.. the back cover wont come off easily but i put it in my pocket it will either restarts or shut down. When i press the back Dell logo part a bit too hard the phone restarts(this is solved now by folding a piece of paper slightly thick and place it on the battery before putting on the battery cover.)

Sometimes after it restarts or shut down, it detect no battery/less than 15% available. Have to take out the battery and put it back in again so it will go back normal.

any problems with the 2.1 so far?

Now my streak battery door getting looser and looser already.. dunno can replace the rubber grip on top or not.

yea.. 2nd unit /newer unit sold already.. some guy walk into my shop and offer 3k for it.. lol..
