Any of you guys tested this froyo build?

No sir , lazy 2 flash and besides , not that perfect yet ...... I read somewhere those using rebelsim aka US sets cant use ..... Not sure if this is true

i've said i wont flash it, but since stephen provide update.zip and he fix almost everything, except the camera FC, i finally flashed my streak to froyo last night.. so after almost a day, i can say my streak is damn fast and there's no issue yet..

btw, the new update-new.zip works fine with rebelsim...

Niceeeeeeeeeeeeee . . . . . . . . What does he mean by camera FC ? kinda blur in with tat ......camera not working ? Was told its working for the camera as well if u install dunno wat and wat and wat ......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Kinda confusing , maybe will wait 4 a updated version of it

ok folks heres a nice build prop for you, adds all my previous edits and sets lcd density to 140 (a nice in between value i think)

other edits:
dalvik heapsize set to 64mb
debug.sf.hw=1 again
wifi scan interval set to 120secs

rename to build.prop and drop in /system

*just finish flashing ..... Everything working well ..... Used the fastboot method so that i get GPS connection and also the patch to get the camera working*

FC is Front Facing Camera..

Thanks for the link but i cant just use hot glue like tat when i wan to warranty my phone.. lol..

Used to have that problem till i apply the new build prop ...... running fine now .....

i did that, but still has problem.. mind telling me the steps u did to paste the build.prop into system folder? coz i wanna repeat the process..

finally i managed to fix the camera.. i notice that last time i dont really copy the edited build.prop, but i copied the original backup build.prop.. lol

Lol . . . Common error . . . Kinda miss the Dell UI . U got any bug issues ? Noticed I can't really change my browser ( Skyfire ) from portrait to landscape n vice versa . . Sometimes work but failed most of the time .

Added on October 12, 2010, 11:58 amFound something funny today ...... after downgrading back to 2.1 and update to 2.2 , I was unable to switch on my hp for like 30 mins ... I thought i bricked it . Found out later that when the processor is hot , due to constant flashing in a short period of time , u r unable to switch on the phone .... I was like WTH !!!!

Added on October 12, 2010, 2:01 pmand dont flash when ur battery is below 70%.. last time i flashed my streak when my battery was 67%.. after finish backup and flashed to a new rom, my dell stuck at DELL logo during the boot up. i have to fully charge my hp then i've to reflash the new rom again and only then i can boot normally..

i guess the backup and flash process took more than 20% battery so end up during the first reboot after flashing, my battery was less than 50%..

Ya , got it and was doing it when i couldnt start the phone

cool. i am about to update it now.. so how is it?

i was facing bad battery life with the older version , 1 day , i go home with 50% left , yesterday i went flat after 6 hours charged time , using only 10 mins 2 make calls and around 20 sms ....... seems they manage to fix it in the latest release but yet 2 know yet since been using it a few hours only

sounds good~ really amaze with Stephen's work.. I cant wait for CM6 addon later.. this device will fly for sure!
