p/s : go to setting > account and sync > add account

Welcome to the club. ROOT it and install at least 2.1 - and see the great difference

Got Swype working on 2.2 .......

Using rootexplorer search for "libSwypeCore.so“ and delete it. You can also find it inside system/lib/libSwypeCore.so
- Install the swype apk.

So far Froyo 2.2 looking and working good. Unit seems speedier, dunno whether it is just psychological and is self gratification !!

It does but i do get a lot of uselss running apps in the background which i cant seem 2 kill even with autokiller and task killer like "messaging" ..... After i kill it , its there again if u reopen the task killer .... Any suggestions ?

I only use SystemPanel lite - I find this app is very much better than all the other taskkillers. Just Launch it, press on End All - and it closes all apps ; you also can selectively choose which apps to close. Especially when I know I will be spending much time browsing, I use it to close all apps

From Menu : Select Settings - this is a STANDARD android program in ALL android phones sever since Android was around. Don't understand what you mean don't have ?

Where did you get your Dell ?? - you will have to go thro Settings/ Accounts & Sync/Add Account to activate your Gmail account so that you can access market. You can add more than 1 Gmail account.

Coz he is on 1.6 which if i am not mistaken , its not labeled as " account & sync " ....... its labeled as "data synchronization " ..... Well , thats wat is shows under my X10 mini and since its running on 1.6 , i think it should b the same

for ur information noobi im also using nexus one.. so my q here i dunt see anything like add acc.. just sync now.. that im asking.. the way u say this kinda q are avoidable.. who the hell u think u are.. we here just bcoz wanna share n discuss about dell sfreak.. if u not meant to b rude.. or kinda annoying with my q.. just leave it.. there many ppl here can help me with my q.. ok..

neway musz, since u're not new to android, i'm pretty sure u can work urself in solving the problem.. well it's hard to imagine the setting is missing from ur device, so maybe u just need some time to explore and go thru all the settings..

if u r pretty sure the setting is indeed missing from ur Streak, switch off ur streak, press volume +, volume - and power button at the same time..then select option 1 (reset to factory setting)..
