Hi all!

I am newbie who NOT YET enter DSLR world. decided to buy 550D, is it good i straight go for lense 18-200mm without taking kit len 18-55mm or 18-135mm?
My friend told me these kit lens will find useless very soon, better get 18-550mm which can serve same puropse directly. Any comment?

How much would it cost to get a 550D body + 18p-200mm nowadays at KL?

18-550mm is way cooler than any lenses out there

guyss...just wanna ask u all opinions..is it important to have an IS. let say 70-200mm 2.8 shoot on daylight. do i really need the IS?

why kitlens will become useless very soon? kitlens still can produce some good works if you have the right settings and appropriate pp.
18-200 is also a nice lens, all rounder...or a walkaround lens for me. if you have the budget to change lens in soon, then you can get the 18-55, and change after you discover your needs.


err, i think yes. shooting 200mm w/o IS not an easy job man(unless you have a tripod or a steady hand)

If yo budget allow, y not ??? all 3 lens are good for beginner b4 they grow serious....

IS ? super duper important, use it u won't go back to non-is

What?? U haven't tried to shoot UWA w/o IS man.. Now, that's THE Challenge man!!!!!!

I don't have UWA lah.. That's one of those missing items in my gear list. Still using Kit-lens
