QUOTE(whatsupbro @ Jun 5 2010, 10:55 AM) Yes, i'm eager to record stuff on astro.... I'm not like you who owned high speed broadband access, then have so much movies collection in your HDD.... and I'm not willing to let my computer online for 24 hours just to download stuff from p2p or torrent. Plus, my area can be considered have a 'sucks' internet connection! |

QUOTE(dannychen @ Jun 5 2010, 11:26 AM) What is your offer now? They collect your b.yond and you have to pay RM 300? since you have surrendered your Astro Max earlier. yeah, need to pay RM300 Added on June 5, 2010, 11:30 am What is your offer now? They collect your b.yond and you have to pay RM 300? If Im not mistaken you have surrendered your Astro Max earlier right? I think that's better than buying the external HDD.... Oh, RM10 per month was "proudly" sponsored by my sister.... Added on June 5, 2010, 12:47 pm QUOTE(azrin_kiko @ Jun 5 2010, 12:29 PM) A Very Nice Topic To Talk: Wah.... status symbol? what you mean?Astro "Black" dish is a new status symbol for the people in Sabah and Sarawak... How about in the Peninsular? Added on June 5, 2010, 12:30 pm And your phone bill will skyrockets... For me, the dish that has the "status" symbol was the dish that came out from the first batch of astro subscriber in 1996. It has PHILIPS ASTRO word on it and the LNB was black in colour. That's really the status symbol because the price of astro dms for that time was RM1600 This post has been edited by AjkR06: Jun 5 2010, 12:47 PM |

QUOTE(deShinyDevil @ Jun 6 2010, 09:16 PM) i wonder will they change the wire linking the decoder and the dish when they come to install the PVR. yes, for PVR they sure will change the wire. You need 2 wire from LNB to your decoder since PVR has 2 tuners to feed with different signal. One is for HD (which used higher frequency) and other one is for SD channel. Not like MAX, which also have 2 tuners, but you only need one wire from the dish. |

QUOTE(SiriuslyCold @ Jun 8 2010, 11:57 AM) if I recall correctly, the CSR said I only can verify the first statement..1. there is no contract for PVR (with or without HD channels) 2. there is no contract byond + recording function 3. that upon activating the recording function the one year contract is cancelled. can someone verify this? Yes, there is no contract for Byond PVR. U can cancel it anytime that u want. Make sure you give astro advance one month notice before unsubscribing it. BUT.... all of the handling costs for Astro installer to picking up your Byond PVR and give back your old decoder (I don't sure about this, but if u use normal byond before changing to PVR, they will give back your old Byond) will be impose to you.... |

QUOTE(azrin_kiko @ Jun 8 2010, 12:07 PM) Mm.. What's the point of paying RM300 for the PVR if we can't keep it like MAX did... Waste of money to unsubscibe it.... can't they just disable it?? Hmm... I donno about that. So, for those who own a PVR, better don't unsubscribe it. I planned like this, after my Byond contract is over (this 23 December), I will disable the HD channels and just keep the SD channels and PVR function. I really need PVR actually than HD. It's Save my RM20 every month... |

QUOTE(subian73 @ Jun 9 2010, 04:21 PM) so long waiting for byond pvr installation..still waiting and waiting..waiting..waiting...waiting......called ASS cs many times....and waiting to installation... I paste back my conversation with Bro Cam just now..." em...i can say the queue is long ..as this PVR is very new, and honestly, the astro team is not fully ready for it, so the waiting time is longer.. that day when i called in and checked, i was told that only 1-2 customers got the PVR installed only in whole malaysia, even though many applications received. I guess its the stock and procedure problems. i was told that the installation will start this week. " the CSR who called me for confirmation promise to me that installation of Byond PVR will be done before or at 21st June 2010... |

QUOTE(Ares187 @ Jun 9 2010, 11:03 PM) Hi , I applied for the PVR Byond on the 2nd of June and waited till the 4th of June for the confirmation call. No one called, so I called the call center and told them I didn’t get the confirmation call from anyone. They transferred me to the people who does the confirmation call for the PVR Byond and they did the confirmation for me. I didnt apply via web , i called them directly . I made it clear to them that i wanted it installed before the World Cup . Congratulations for your new PVR... If u don't mind, could you do some just a simple review here? I'm still waiting for the PVR installation...... already day 4 after last confirmation called from Astro.... |
