*
Cause those that open and park SGD in singapore banks since 2010 laughing liao. 😆 FD rate low? Kindly check again… also got government bonds/t-bills that offers as high as 4.5%+

Also not to mentioned potential currency appreciation, more investment choices, politically stable country, business/investment friendly environment etc.

Forget sg bank FD. Just open tiger and park your money into their MMF. Tiger MMF basically invest into their FD.

Only sg banks which let Malaysian open account without you needing to step foot there is cimb, maybank and ocbc.

Rest maybe can be done if you are willing to park SGD250-300k for priority banking purpose.

Can. Need to beg. Only sg banks that let you open without any working pass is DBS. But need to open DBS Vickers as well. Try it at mbfc.

Nowadays no pass, no account unless you are priority customer. Priority customer is need cause officer want to earn money/bonus, bank also want to earn money.

if u can, start with CIMB sg first. as the other banks require you to "lock up" a minimum amt of SGD (S$500-S$3,000), or pay monthly S$2 fee

Yup. Thanks to bijian. Last time before his time, we Malaysians can just walk into any sg branch and open account without problem. No introducers needed.

yeah i have some SGD in tiger brokers MMF. Already have cimb sg, thinking if i should open one more - just to standby in case cimb sg down or what.

Im using maybank. Do u recommend to open sg maybank, or better sg bank like ocbc (apply online)?

Cimb. Don't bother with Maybank. No need OCBC unless you want to have multicurrency account. I think they have one. But not sure how much is the lockup money.

My cimb only have SGD0.10 inside. Lol.

I use moomoo for my mmf. Tiger only for seeing price of stock and options. DDA from DBS into moomoo. Same options available for tiger.

You can use FAST transfer (sg version of duitnow)
