the only available function
login CIMB SG -> transfer to CIMB MY

if u meant u want to login CIMB MY -> transfer from CIMB SG to CIMB MY, no, it cannot be done, no such function AFAIK

With a SG pass?

Maybank SG don't need any pass. Anyone can open directly from designated Maybank MY branch. Just download form and submit to the nearest designated MY branch.

Not trying to be mean but if coming from Msia need change to SGD that is 3+ MYR to 1 SGD which means must change a lot MYR. Unless come Spore to work and not to spend then different story. But of cuz got relatives in Spore is ok

If he comes just to open bank account, can explore food options near fringe of CBD like Toa Payoh, Redhill/Tiong Bahru, Maxwell/Newton or the nice bun at Westlake (Farrer Road).

Further west would be West Coast market and Bukit Panjang hawker center.

If got more people e.g. come with family then have more choices.

Change MYR to SGD is unavoidable. Best travel option is to fly to JB then travel to SG by causeway, round trip Air Asia cost +/- 100 MYR only (or even less, e.g. 50-60 ish).

Avoid using Grab/taxi, make good use of MRT/buses, plan your journey in advance.

Anyway hawker food 3-4 SGD isn't too expensive compared to KL/Penang standard even after the 3.12 SGD/MYR conversion rate.

Ah yes 3.22.

But anyhow you still need to eat to survive. The very cheap ones like those near MRT station can be 2-3 SGD per meal (but smaller servings). After x3.22, pretty sure similar to MY spending. tongue.gif Can combine breakfast and lunch into brunch or try bread/biscuits in place of rice too.

Just 2-3 days here I think the expenses won't be too bad if homework is done.

Not so easy to open in Singapore now. The regulation have tighten. But if that is not possible maybe try a foreign currency account

I asked in OCBC they said needed 50k to open one if no local address. Last time anyone can just walk in and open with 1k.

Now i am waiting for CIMB SG to call me and verify my account. Hopefully will pass and not ask me 3 ask me 4 macam macam...

Anyone knows what is the best answer? I plan to tell them for putting some savings in SGD and investing in stocks and FDs. Can? What is a "good" answer?

Just be honest with them with what you are planning to use it for.

I applied Maybank SG online and got it approved on the next day. I'm still waiting for my SG Debit Card to arrive since mid-May, hopefully it will reach me soon.

Hi,
Did you received sms or email regarding the approval of the application? How long is the whole process? Tq

I received the email confirmation with login ID and password within the next working day. The card takes another two weeks to reach my address.
