Why take so long?
(i) the branch you send don't have Singapore full address hence it get return and the staff (MY staff). (happened to me)
(ii) Did you send with TIN (tax number)? It's a new criteria from Maybank SG.

They won't call you. The MY officer which handle you will email you asking you to submit the form.

Current application. Let me tell my story.
1. My application was submitted on Dec.
2. Check with Maybank SG by Jan (1 month later)
3. Told me they never received. Told me to check with Maybank MY.
4. Checked with Maybank MY (they didn't call me/email me anything). Apparently Pos Laju sort of "lost it"
5. It was never even sended according to Maybank MY as the details are not completed (Maaybank MY fault    )
6. Resend.
7. Within 1-2 week received by Maybank SG as they email my officer asking for FACTA form (income tax from by the US)
8. They got back to me. Told me they don't accept emailed copies. Told me to submit hard copies to Maybank MY

They won't know. Once out of Malaysia, it's not their part anymore.

Well you need to contact Maybank MY. Find out what happen. They are the one with the tracking no. Check back with the officer.

His was not missing. His went though on first application. Mine was the one that went missing. lol.
Check back with Maybank MY (the branch you went to) after one week from contacting the officer.

urm they ask me more on verification questions on the 1st call. 2nd call to check if i received all the items/letters.

Anyone knows what's the initial deposit for Maybank Isavvy account? SGD 500 or 5000?

I can't find anything on both's Maybank website for Malaysian.

If you have received the SMS, you should have successfully opened the iSavvy saving account. Congratulations.  Otherwise, why would Maybank Singapore register your Malaysian handphone number to receive the SMS One-Time Password?

Around the week or so, you should start to receive Welcome Letter, Security Token, debit card and so on.

means that it's the staff mistake for not providing you all the documents. 

but... i did not signed any tax declaration form thou during application.

Starting from 2017 onwards, the Singapore government requires all foreigners who are opening an account in Singapore to provide their TIN (tax identification numbers) and sign a tax declaration form.
