Hi, i am a Malaysian and i would like to open a Singapore bank account? Anyone can advice on the procedures? Looking at HSBC and standard chartered.

I can say for iSavvy yes, as I have done it before. Not sure about CIMB.

If you are working there you don't need to be in this thread haha.

If you have EP, you can open an account in any banks in SG.

Read through this thread. All info in here. You don't need to go via HSBC or standard chartered. Only go though both of them if you want to have priority banking on both side.

Take day off and go their office in KL.
Alternatively use moneymatch. More expensive than instarem.
Another choice use Transferwise. Heard they have account to transfer to SG already but not sure who's cheaper. Instarem or transferwise
That's the only way.
