brand: Idemitsu (Honda brand but it is made by Idemitsu) model:5w40 ( Fully Synthetic) price:RM120 ( black market price, now cant get already) feedback:The oil itself looks very watery. Very very good pickup, quality deteriorate after 9k+km and good FC
Brand: Shell Helix HX-7 Model: 10w 40 (Semi Synthetic) Price : RM 95 Feedback: Engine sound abit rough, pickup is ok.FC slightly higher. Can last till 6k+km before engine gets lazy due to oil degrade.
Brand : Castrol Magnatec Model: 10w 40 (Semi Synthetic) Price: RM 80+++ (Carrefour got discount that time) Feedback: Dont really like it as the engine becomes quite lazy after 4800++km.
I'm driving Honda City Type Z 2001, heavy footer most of the time.

i've used:
Brand: AMOIL Oil Type : 5-40 Fully synthetic Price : $110 My Thoughts : Rubbish Oil. My rating: 1/5
Brand: Castrol Magnatec Oil Type : 10-40 Semi Synthetic Price : $80 (was a very long time ago, before the price skyrocketed) My Thoughts : Engine feels quiet and smooth at highway cruising speed. Quite a good oil IMO. Was using a 1.5 carb Wira at that time. good oil for that old engine. My Rating : 5/5 (before the ridiculous price hike)
Brand: Total Oil Type : 10-40 Semi Synthetic Price : $90 My Thoughts : Normal oil. Expected more from this oil. engine felt very coarse and noisy. My rating : 2/5
Brand: Wurth Oil Type : 10-40 Semi Synthetic Price : $90 My Thoughts : Good oil. Long lasting. Viscosity was still good after exceeding the mileage by 1000km. My rating : 5/5
Brand: Idemitsu Super Touring Oil Type : 10-40 Semi Synthetic Price : $95 My Thoughts : Good viscosity even after 5000km. Worth the money. My rating : 5/5
Brand: Valvoline Oil Type : 10-40 Semi Synthetic Price : $105 My Thoughts : Currently using. not much feedback yet. So far done about 3k km on this oil, still feels smooth and engine is responsive. However it turned dark quicker than Idemitsu that clocked 5000km.

Brand: Castrol Magnatec Oil Type : 10-40 Semi Synthetic Price : Rm110 ( with filter and workmanship ) My Thoughts : Feels good at first but around 4k started to feel heavy. My rating : 3/5
Brand: Shell Helix Ultra Oil Type : 5-40 Fully Synthetic Price : $155 ( with filter and workmanship ) My Thoughts : Feels light and smooth , engine is pretty responsive too. Not to mentioned the engine seems more silent compare with Castrol Magnatec that i used previously. My rating : 5/5

from my research..
eneos engine oil from japan quite ok.. viscosity of 20w50 is the most frequent used by most of us.. rm55 will be the price range..
a lot of recycle engine oil in the market especially for castrol,shell.. if you saw any workshop using the engine oil with a relatively cheap price, pls just buy ur own engine oil and change it at their w/shop..
love ur car !
