Guys I am thinking to get a Desire soon but I heard my friend said that some applications/functions will not work in Malaysia, is that true...? If that's true then arent HTC selling crippled phone to Malaysians...?

what are the options available from maxis on monthly plans?

So far 16GB MicroSDHC available only in class 2 in Malaysia. Dunno if other places have - confirmed class 6 available - Amazon US selling....other places too but very expensive.

if sign htc desire under maxis package, is it sim-locked like iphone?

thanks guys, but even though u say the speed is class 2 with min 2mb/s, class 4 with 4mb/s and so on... in real life, can we really feel the diff? and does higher class heats up faster and eats more battery?

A very noob question... can I use my desire (maxis set) in Australia? Of coz  won't be doing roaming but using the sim card of aus telco... would that be compatible?

Was using the Maps function that comes default with the Desire. Noticed that there is no voice navigation function, can someone confirm this?  And it seems like when using the direction function, I need to refresh the map manually only then it reflects my updated current location.

Any good GPS navigation apps u guys recommend that can be use on Desire with Android 2.1?? Papago and Igo perhaps? 

So if i ask maxis to make it enable for bbm, do u guys think they can do it for me?

newbie here that have some question to ask about rooting

after i root the device, i lost sense UI, which means?
without the senseUI, anything special?

whats the major advantages to root/ not to root?
(means like after rooted my device than i cannot update from HTC website like jailbreaked iphone)

I've seen this before. For me, this is minor bug issue. Do you really want to use 2 finger (simultaneosly) all the time?    You use 2 finger just to pinch-to-zoom right? 

I own a Desire. The test show that hold 2 fingers together (serentak) & drag here & there. From the test, yes it shows the 'error' of multi-touch. But, do you do it on sms? You just tap tap the letters...you dont drag (except you have big finger, then it'll cause you offset ) Call? No I dont think so. Drag a slider in video not a problem too (only 1 finger). Even in gallery, I dont have problem with pinch-to-zoom...work fine on me. Except in game. Maybe some game require 2 finger at the same time. Just my 2 cents.

yeah.. i wonder which "genius" designed the camera feature without flash.....

I'm really interested in this phone, but i'm in the dilemma to pick between iPhone and this HTC Desire

i think i read somewhere that iPhone doesn't allow USB tethering.... or did i read wrong ?

with HTC Desire, u can always do USB tethering....
