I need recommendation on the below choices:

i) Dell Studio 14 - i5-450M, 2.4GHz
ii) Sony Vaio VPCEA15FG/B - i3-330M, 2.13GHz
iii) Fujitsu Lifebook LH700 - i3-330M, 2.13GHz

Price range: I think it's between RM3k to RM 3.3k?

Differences noted so far, processor speed and webcam resolution (between Dell 2.0 MP, Sony 0.5 MP, Fujitsu 1.3 MP). Sony has a much nicer design over Dell and Fujitsu..

Purpose: Normal usage, surfing, watch movies, listen to music, doing assignments, application and web programming..
Future: Photo editing..

Aspects to consider: Practically, Reliability, Design, Problems-free, and hopefully can last another 3 years or more (my current HP Pavilion DV2000 doesn't!)

Kindly advise which I should choose.

Hi Guys,

Am planning to get a laptop by end of August. Please help me out with some recommendations.

Purpose of laptop and other details:
1) General Usage (Internet Browsing; Online Video Streaming; Word; DVD Movies; MP3 Music; Downloading Music & Movies) 
2) Preferably a laptop which allows for speedy multi-tasking (esp. Video Streaming while downloading stuffs)
3) 13' - 14' Screen Size
4) Budget below RM 2K 
5) Laptop weight is not much of an issue
6) Hoping for a good purchase so that the laptop will last for maybe 3 or 4 years.

Kindly recommend me something as I am not sure what Processors are the best within my budget.
P/S - I was once told (some time back) that the general rule of thumb in purchasing a laptop/computer is that no matter how speedy the Processor is, if the RAM is not up to par, the performance of the system will still lag behind. Is this still relevant today? Or are there any other tips I should follow?

wanna ask, is i7 840qm worth the extra RM750 over i7 740qm?
is it worth it?

Hey guys, please gimme recommendation for the most suitable laptop i can get with my budget. suitable for business or personal use doesn't matter as i'm seeking best spec i can get with my budget.

Budget: 2k~ max 2.8k
Brand: Any, currently looking at ASUS and Compaq (affordable yet specs acceptable).  preferably with good QC, which means probably brands like Apple makes their own laptop do their own tuning for better performance and durability.
Specs: intel i5 preferred, looking for best gpu i can get with this budget
Size: - looking at 15" but most important screen nice, if it's nice, 14"  also acceptable
Use - multi tasking, internet, downloading stuff, movies, games etc
