hmmm...quite a lot of people complain about eeeeee sound and ICM relay faulty...are you guys referring to the new persona elegance?

the eeeee sound seems like me '99 Wira...sound comes out from the centre air-con vent...is this sound coming out from the same place for persona? if yes, then after more than 10yrs nothing seems to be rectified...come on proton! shakehead.gif

Sigh....

Yesterday I was driving and almost reaching home, suddenly the interior cabin light started flicking on and off. It was in the middle position ( meaning if door open will light up). Was rushing yesterday so didnt give much thought to it.

This morning when I started the car, the light was flicking on and off violently so i turned it off. Checked all the doors including the boot and they were all closed properly. However, the 'door ajar' indicator in the meter cluster area was lighted all the way. Finally I drove to work feeling sad and worrying about how to lock my car... At the same time, as the interior cabin light was flicking on and off, I could hear the sound of a relay switching repeatedly from under the glove compartment. When I arrived at office, I checked and re-closed all the doors once more.

Discovered that the problem is with the front passenger as after a second hard close on it, the light was no longer lit. However, Im sure that it will recur. Has anyone faced this problem before? Any idea how much it will cost to fix?

Btw, the car is from Aug 08, and has only clocked 16k km. Im the second owner. Can I still send it back for warranty?

The eeee sound is very faint for me. It's like the Ju-on female ghost throat sound, but much fainter and softer. I could only hear it after I turn off the car and concentrate. But it will go off after some time.
