Persona Elegance - H Line - Brilliant Red

Just a question, anyone how to use the USB function on the radio.. i stick my thumdrive and it keep "Reading" for a long time..

Is there anything that I have to do in my thumbdrive for the radio to read the songs properly
*
Hi Kudin36
I'm thinking about getting the H-Line Brilliant Red as well but so far showroom got no sample. Not sure if it is nice or not. Some say it's similar to Wira Maroon colour. So, is it?

Would you be kind to show a picture of your car?

Thanks.

kudin36 & eMeRiTuS

Thanks for the feedback guys! thumbup.gif

However, from the picture shown by summer9uy (taken from his iPhone) and also from the colour sample shown by the SA, it doesn't look like the SE version. Seems like it's darker red. But the new Gen2 Fire Red is really cool! Wished PE has that red as well... sweat.gif

Kudin36, hope you won't mind to show me a sample picture of the Brilliant Red of yours. brows.gif

Thanks.

nothing serious if drop to L if driving around 80-90.....i tried on waja before..when its 50 above, the gear wont drop until it slow down...

as for the gear shifting till 6000rpm..
L-usually up to 60km/65km for 7000rpm
2-up to 100km or 115km if rev up to 7000rpm
3-165km or 175km if 7000rpm
D-topspeed...190km @ 5400rpm
laugh.gif
*
So that means if driving at around 80-90kmh & suddenly need to slow down immediately, just shift the gear from "D" to "L" will not spoil the engine or the gear box??

Will it cause the car to jerk suddenly?

I took the red; waited almost 3 months because my sales agent is useless/incompetent. Anyhoo, the color is a different shade of red when it is under different lighting conditions. It looks best at night.

I don't like the drive-by-wire throttle, but I like the leather seats. smile.gif
*
So how does the red look under the sun? Is it nice? Is it slightly orange red? Can seem to see an actual Persona Elegance Brilliant-Red on the road yet.

I'm thinking of getting this colour too but still undecided...

Hi, just wondering is this Elegance value for money since I see quite a few complaints? I read of power window problem, doors don't close properly, air-con got sound, fuel gauge don't go up, breaks, bad fuel consumption, no pick-up power, etc... All these problems seems like not solved since Wira, Iswara or Saga time...I'm worried... shakehead.gif

I understand it's what you get for what you pay for but even then, 60K is really sweat & blood money... sad.gif

So far is there any issue with the ABS or air-bag? I want these features but afraid if always got problem then it'll cause and addition arm or leg to fix it... that's why still hesitating to place an order.

But I must say that Elegance definitely look very nice... sweat.gif

No many on the road tho... hmm...doesn't really looked like the Persona SE or the new SAGA SE Brilliant Red as what the sales guy told me or even one sales guy told me it looks like CNY red packets colour! sweat.gif

But colour not really metalic...looked more solid to me based on the photo...

guess i think i might get this colour after all... rclxm9.gif

Drive-by-wire has this lag which is quite noticeable to some, including me. Maybe if Proton had programmed the ECU better..  hmm.gif

Do we still need to practice driving below 3K rpm before the 1000km (or 1st service)? Does the PE engine needs to "run-in" 1st before can go above 3K rpm?

hmmm...quite a lot of people complain about eeeeee sound and ICM relay faulty...are you guys referring to the new persona elegance?

the eeeee sound seems like me '99 Wira...sound comes out from the centre air-con vent...is this sound coming out from the same place for persona? if yes, then after more than 10yrs nothing seems to be rectified...come on proton! shakehead.gif

Juz wondering, does the new PE need to follow "engine run-in" (i think that's what i heard some ppl call it) - ie., cannot go above 80km/h or 100km/h before the first 1000km service?

I was told that with new technology in all new cars do not need to do so, right? Is it because Campro is still kind of old tech? All those new japs or europe cars do not need to maintain <3k rpm & <100km/h, right? Or was I being given the wrong info? Confused... rclxub.gif

I guess not. Mb highly depending on the SC. Like mine, i still claim new set of disc rotors even when i am using aftermarket pads.

1. Check for dents and scratches. Also under the front bumper which is very very common to have scratches due to shipment (when going up and down the steep steel ramp on the ship).

2. Tools. Check to see if all of the tools are in the bag. Sometimes it is missing 1 or 2 items.

3. Open up the engine bonnet. Check for missing caps or covers. Mine was found with a missing fuse box cover it was replaced immediately on site.

4. Check for fluids - engine oil level, radiator coolant, ATF level (for auto only)... it is better safe then sorry. Sometimes these final checks by the SC before handing the car over to customer, they might overlook it.

5. Lighting - check all lights are functioning.

6. Check all electrical items are functioning.

7. All set! Drive away your new ride! tongue.gif

8. Did i miss out anything? Hope not!  laugh.gif

dunno why they din't put break light in there .. feel more nice if there got red light from there but dunno how to open all the stuff tongue.gif

hmm...proton seems to like to put these things ready for export models but stinge for own ppl & own country... dun know why... vmad.gif some more promoted 2 buy local product...

just like the safety belt indicator...it's there on the meter but somehow i think that little wire connecting it to the buckle thing might cost like few hundred to install... tongue.gif

really quite silly... rclxub.gif

just wondering about a few things:

1) RON95 or RON97?

2) is it possible to install the seat belt light since it already comes with the indicator on the meter?

3) is it possible to install a ring light around the ignition key area like Wira? quite difficult 2 put in the key at night or dark area..

4) is the door lock sound loud normal - ie, when u lock or unlock your car, the sound of the locks going up & down produces a loud noise...

5) if change the original cd/radio/usb player, does it means that the remote buttons on the steering wheel will become useless?

thanks... notworthy.gif
