I've given up explaining to SC guys about the orifice valve here in Swak. They will usually stare me back and ask, 'apa itu?'
This is a problem affecting ALL Personas. Why don't Proton issue a service bulletin or something to all SCs? I know Perodua does issue service bulletins to their mechs if there are issues arising.

Go to Platinum Proton SC at Jalan Tun Jugah there. I went there, they solved it. They know what the f*** is a orifice valve.

Finally i know what sound is that when the air cond is ON. It is actually one of the radiator fan will turn on from time to time.. guess the only solution of this is to do sound proofing to reduce the fan noise .. else have to live with it.

but the sound is come from front passenger under the drawer area... is that sound u refering to?

It happens sometimes when I press the brake lightly while the car is moving.

It's just those brake squeek/ringing sound you usually hear on some cars. What could be the cause of it? hmm, will get it rectified during the 1k service. Now done 200km++

dunno if mine same case like you. but after i send to tyre shop to inspect, wow..they surprised my brake pad misaligned and tend it to bergeser with disc. this make overheat to brake shoes- long term will hardened the shoes and that will make my brake produce squekk sound when braking.
quite a weeks (including doing a long distance few times) after decided to inspect myself.
what SC told me before this- do a balancing

U just got ur car, 1k Service just go there ask them install the orifice valve, and if urs is M-Line ask them to check the rear brake shoe. (If H-Line no need bother)

Yes bro, drive about 2 weeks. so far encounter 2 problem which the front driver side got metal knocking sound when doing turning on rough surface and the front passenger under the drawer got "breathing" sound (something like ppl taking oxigen in ward) when air con on periodically, abt 40 seconds happen once i think.

Plan to go SC later at Taman Midah to just install orifice valve, not sure they will entertain me or not?!

My left front passenger got wind sound .. that ac doesn't want to change me a new rubber ... shyt .. insist asking me to send to other SC for a double check for what really happen when my car is speeding 100-120 there are wind sound ... i can see obviously theres a gap between door and rubber (while the door closing) comparing to driver's door ..

i think i know what u meant by the "breathing oxigen tank" thing. yea i also wondered about that. its been almost a year owning the car. still wondering wtf is that. tried putting silicone lubes on the belt to quieten it... but then its not the belt that was making the noise. it comes on every now and then....not all the time.

just mentioned that the steering got noise when u drive over certain road conditions like how u tell us in here. then mentioned that ur friends installed this thing original from SC and see what is their response.

The SC located at Taman Midah is named Sin Siang Hin (same with Maybank), is it? I heard some of the forumer said this SC having bad reputation. Is that true?

I plan to go there later this afternoon and ask them install the Orifice Valve, not sure they understand this problem and will install for me or not?!

I liaise with the manager named Kenny from Sin Siang Hin SC (Taman Midah) just now and explained to him for the "metal knocking" sound when doing turning on rough surface, he seem to understand the problem and mention is the sound occur when turning steering. Hope can solve the problem later when send my car to them.
