eddy, morning sessions are a whole new experience. during that time, u can slowly prepare yourself, look for angle, take your time composing, test lights and all.... when the groom reaches, that's when it gets major hectic...

yeah, that once in a lifetime day is very important to the couple, we should treat ourselves as professionals when given the job, don't go screwing around, imagine your own wedding, when results are out, imagine how disappointed you will be when you see the end product is even worse than your lowest expectations.

didnt you research on your photographer before hiring? on how is his consistency, experience, shooting style etc?
sometimes, its not worth paying a few hundred bucks less, but quality can basically go down the drain.

even if my parents say they good also, i make sure i make a thorough research on his work before approving tongue.gif
parent's taste may not be the same as our owns'.
most importantly, is you're happy, your wedding, not your parents wedding LOL...
if like that, i got so many uncles shooting since the film days also, but comes to wedding, i dont think any of them can take up the task with my expectations.
in fact, i have a couple of wedding shooters in my list to choose from d. pretty awesome work which i adore.

lolz...i know bout that la william...

28mm on aps-c is 42 mm on fullframe..
wat u think? abit wider than human vision...

but it's a prime lo..

i see u have one, mind giving me advice?

lolz...will do it some day..currently wanna let go my faulty kit lens before getting dis..
*
its a very versatile lens, the ONLY hiccup i have on this lens is that its f/2.8, wish it could be faster tongue.gif
its considerably sharp right till the edges on apsc, havent tried on FF.
its actually about the same as human's eye FoV. u look inside viewfinder with right eye, and open your left eye, you will see identical sized objects.
the 28 f2.8 is a good deal if u get it below RM400, i got mine at around 400 as well. considering the 24 f2.8 is 700+ outside... in fact, this lens was stuck to my camera for more than 3 months without coming off when i 1st got it tongue.gif it can be wide if u want it to be, and its short MFD allows u to go close to get a closer shot without distorting the image.

mastering, for food, your white balance MUST be correct. easily done with us alphas, coz can custom WB on a white card or tissue at restaurants. then overexpose by 1/3 stop, that should be fine

waaa, nice details on broccoli, love all the colors ! what lens did you use bro ?

Added on June 2, 2010, 9:48 pm
other brands cannot use custom WB ?
*
Camera: Sony DSLR-A700
Exposure: 0.05 sec (1/20)
Aperture: f/6.3
Focal Length: 60 mm
ISO Speed: 800
Exposure Bias: +0.7 EV
if not mistaken, was using my Sigma

its not that others cannot custom WB, some will take a heck load of button pressing to access the WB settings, some of their lower end ones are ALL presets only and some only can use the color graph that looks like an X-Y axis graph.
