if you're talking about light gathering capabilities, then yes... if you're talking about IQ, then its not necessarily true. older lens even with constant aperture lacks coating new lenses have (which might not have constant F) taking the baby Zeiss for example.

100 shots??? that like sooo little wehh... its time for you to get new ones d.. normal performance should give AT LEAST 400 shots.. unless every one of your 100 shots are 1/1 power blasts...

if you want to find for its effects on an image, shoot a white surface with a low f-number (f/18) and see if there's anything.

shooting normal stuffs like these, u wont be able to see anything.

ok, even lets say 300+, your 1st claim of 100+ is still very low... 70% drop

what are u shooting? insects? or static objects?

use a tripod and remote release. then if its a static object, place the object on a movable platform, instead of moving the camera, move the platform to be in the focal plane. use remote release so that the focal plane is not shifted when shutter is pressed
