QUOTE(zstan @ May 25 2010, 11:14 PM) speaking of that.. in those situations, you could use a tele lens to crop into the scene. pick out details. try to refrain from instinctively raising the camera and pressing the button the moment u see something nice. look for angle, perspective, background, details, lighting, shadows. there are a lot of aspects to look at in a scene and the combination on lens used.that was my super heart break for that day... visitors are not allowed to go near the yacht!! hence i my only option is to shoot from far..and producing tourist shots..haha |

QUOTE(zstan @ May 26 2010, 12:23 AM) 1 of my well taken sunset pics IMO...hope this not consider tourist shot.. this shot is excellent! now this will be your benchmark, go shoot something that can better this » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « don't have to remove the one on sun's reflection... i love the pastel colors This post has been edited by lwliam: May 26 2010, 12:47 AM |

it doesnt necessary have to be sharp, it all depends on the distance of the lens, or rather, the sensor, to the subject. it has quite a number of contributing factors

the big beercan is the 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6, not a constant aperture
the 70 210 is only a beercan |

8tvt, i'd say its the build quality, then the sharpness comparison... finally is the KM colors... which is punchier than the sony's
