i'm seeing a flaw in sony's VG design. notice how the shutter button is lower from the top of the grip compared to canon and nikon's? they said that this is so the sony users will experience a more natural shooting height coz of the that's where the lens and grip alignment is irregardless of being horizontal or vertical.
the glitch i see in this design is, when i am using the grip in a horizontal position, the camera and grip is very well handled in my hands, very comfortable, very ergonomic, with the grip supporting the lower palm (when without the grip, the lower palm usually rests slightly under the camera) its when i am using it in a vertical position, the same problem exists again as when i am not using a grip, although not as serious this time as the height of the grip is slightly taller compared to the camera body. there is still a slight protrusion of my palm to the bottom when used in that position. this is where canon and nikon's VG design makes sense. but when it comes to controls, there's still no other VG in the market is as complete as the A700/850/900 series as yet. p/s: thanks mike for the compliments, not sure if i added noise, but i dont think so i did, coz was using quite a high ISO, shooting handheld... and it was still A100 that time i think...
