I've compiled a couple of frequently used abbreviations used here. I noticed many of the new ones here won't know what we're talking about if we talk in abbreviations. Feel free to add more if needed. Bro amadeo, do add this to 1st page if you think it warrants a place there.
IQ : image quality FF : full frame APS-C : crop sensor, 1.5x or 1.6x OOF : out of focus PP : post processing PS : photoshop (a PP standard) (A)WB : (auto) white balance AF : auto focus DoF : depth of field FoV : field of view EV : exposure value NR : noise reduction IR : infrared CA : chromatic abberation This article is by no means to provide you with answers, its merely a guide for you so that you can search the keywords easier on the internet using the search engine of your choice. QUOTE(mastering89 @ Jun 11 2010, 01:27 AM) hiansitt : down there got state price for a850 and a900 also. Probably for both of it also... hhhahhaa, nearly everyone here knows that already lor.... just a matter of when only gizmo_pony : beza price RM200 can get 16-105 aa Added on June 11, 2010, 1:28 am i can smell some1 getting FF QUOTE(Sniperwolf1987 @ Jun 11 2010, 01:29 AM) ya.. but i still dunno on that time i will buy A550 or NEX5 ma... so need u guys give some opinion ... A550 and the NEX5 are 2 different genre of cameras... big vs small (not THAT small actually), stills vs stills & videos, pro look vs casual shooter look, expandability, auto HDR, auto pano stitch, tilt screen...make a check box of all the differences in both cameras ( u can find a lot of the comparisons online if u search hard enough) then tick which one u need, which one u probably need, which one u dont think is needed but is nice to have, and which one is useless to you... with a comprehensive list like that, making a decision is a breeze |

i havent really gotten the chance to properly handle an A550 before, cant really comment on it, but since the 550 came out wayyy later than the 700, i believe the firmware and hardware of the A550 have a much better improvement over the older A700.. but with all due respect, the A700, 850 and 900's ergonomics have no contenders amongst any of the other Alphas at the moment.. they've got the best layout and handling
i still shoot with ISO 2000 with my A700 as long as i know where are its limitations... with flash, the noise are well suppressed.. This post has been edited by lwliam: Jun 11 2010, 01:46 AM |

they dont really have to worry about the warranty, coz consumers will want upgrades.. and electronics are the fastest moving consumer products in the market that gets obsolete the quickest... not even by the end of the 1st year's warranty, newer tech will go into the new batch of gadgets... furthermore its sony we're looking at... new tech, its like picking out weeds from their front lawn...
the warranty is just a perk to the consumers which draws them into the purchase. its the after sales they are going after. This post has been edited by lwliam: Jun 11 2010, 02:38 AM |
