thinking either Tuna bay or Perhentian island resort.. any shops there?  i've been to Long Beach on perhentian kecil but this trip going with wife and small kid lar.. want a bit quiet..

No shop or grocery at Perhentian Island Resort . If you stay at TunaBay Resort, there are plenty of shop ..nearest is Suhaila ..and Abdul Chalet.

For quiet ..recommended to stay at The Reef Chalet..Perhentian Besar

Hi guys,

I'll be traveling to Perhentian next 2 days. Still deciding which place is the best to stay.

Prefer quiet and clean beach. Budget would be RM150 per night.

Anyone here can enlighten me ? smile.gif

RM150 per night is quite alright. I'm sure you can find many within that budget.

You have to decide Perhentian Besar or Kecik. If Kecik, can go for Coral Bay beach. It's quiet and you can walk over to Long Beach for partying at night.

Otherwise, can just head straight to Besar for a quiet and peaceful beach. Besar is cheaper too.

But I heard Coral Bay beach wasn't that soft ? Is that true ? And for Besar, is that under budget for RM150.

Besar is cheaper. Can try Abdul Chalet, it's one of the good value for money ones.
As for soft beach or not, if you ask me, nothing compares to Redang. I guess Long Beach is not too bad, but it's no where near quiet and clean there.

East coast all monsoon. Tioman is open but it's monsoon season. Better you go East Malaysia or Thailand or Indonesia or Philippines.

Too many. Depending on your budget and what you are looking for. Whether you wanna stay on small or big island. Depending you wanna party or you wanna chill or you wanna backpacker style.
