he called me and ask me is it he has to pay around RM100 for the registration ..
i told him no ... then he went back to the guy . the guy then "pretend" and say he mistaken . LoL
*
It really depends... if you are applying for a new Homeline together with your Unipack, then total Fee cost RM 135 (RM 75 deposit, RM10 Stamp duty, RM 50 connection fees.)

Not sure. It's just a rumour, but I do believe until all 100,000 Netbook are given out, then this deal ends. No one knows exactly how many has been given out.

Well.. it's not like he's the only one doing... well if RM 300 is worth for all the trouble + car petrol and everything, I've got nothing to say cool2.gif

The termination fee is RM 600. The netbook is worth about RM 900. With RM 1200, it's better to the HP's original retail unit.

Well, if i am not mistaken, this thread is here to help..
Obviously i dont know the team`s number is shown on SAMS status, and i got the answer from here when i asked here in this thread few days ago...
Its kind of funny, cuz at least people like me could go to SAMS website to check the status...
What if for those who dont have internet, they are also a bunch who have to wait for TM fellows to call them right...
As u said, buying toto and hope to hit the number.
And then? He came at 4.30-ish ar??
Great to hear when he got your number...
I called him eventually, after an hour waiting since the appointment is 2pm..But no answer from him... blush.gif
*
Well.. SAMS isn't meant for us End user in the first place, so all in all we shouldn't even know that site.

If its so, why SAMS website did not restricted the permission to enter the site?
*
Wouldn't it be troublesome if both TM side and TMnet side are required to access this page with login? After all, when you call 100, TM could tell your broadband status as well.

Those of you who successfully registered, did you receive your hypptunes and streamyx zone ID instantly in your webmail? Because I still don't see it... maybe it might come tomorrow since my installation was don on 21st May 2010.

They sent me via e-mail. I did not get hypptunes nor I am bothered. I did get my streamyx zone ID.

Edit : btw zeph , did they cap you at 4096 or 5120 ?
*
I guess I'll give them a call tomorrow. I'm capped at 4096 and I did not ask for 5120, the tech was kind enough to allow me to use 4Mbps because my SNR margin did not meet the requirement, so I did not ask much. However, the good thing is in my area, I manage to hit 500KB/s. I've tested this with my EU server, and it's a consistent result even with TM disruption, on a 218.111 IP address. Also since the SNR margin is quite low, I still did not face any major disconnections.

I think the best is still go really early.. because or if not, one of them might be taking their own sweet time to eat their breakfast, leaving only one counter open, happened in my case and it seriously took 1 freaking hour for 3-4 customers in the queue ahead of me.

You need to pay deposit + stamp duty. This is a streamyx combo package, inclusive of phone line rental.

Sent one. Called up HP as well, they said give them 3 working days and was told to call next week. Will call again on Thursday.

@prasys, my stats,

QUOTE
        Downstream   Upstream
SNR Margin (dB):    7.0    23.0
Attenuation (dB):    15.5    8.4
Output Power (dBm):    12.2    0.8
Attainable Rate (Kbps):   4096    544
Rate (Kbps):     4096    510
MSGc (number of bytes in overhead channel message):  56   70
B (number of bytes in Mux Data Frame):    254   15
M (number of Mux Data Frames in FEC Data Frame):  1   1
T (Mux Data Frames over sync bytes):    3   1
R (number of check bytes in FEC Data Frame):   0   0
S (ratio of FEC over PMD Data Frame length):   0.3492  0.9412
L (number of bits in PMD Data Frame):    5842   136
D (interleaver depth):      1   1
Delay (msec):       0   0
Possible speed obtained with low SNR Margin, but really stable I would say. Tested under scorching hot sun and rainy weathers.

A sample of speed obtained with 218.111 IP address and from a EU server.

To all Unipack subscriber, pls reminded that ur netbook warranty is only 1 year ++.
I dunno why it's only 1 yr ++, but it stated in the website when i checked mine. To extend the warranty, i think u have to call hp for that.
*
[CODE]

No it's supposed to be 2 years, that's why we are still finding out how to get it properly done for 2 years warranty.

Went to TMPoint for the freaking 3rd time today just for termination. Waited for some time and arrived at a counter with terrible staff. Ignored me for like 5 minutes and SMSed in front of monitor and asked her colleague to find her the application form.

Guess what ? They did not do anything at all. They have just FOUND BACK my documents... I was like, WTF ? Ok never mind just do me the deal. She DID NOT terminate it on the spot and she told me to wait as she had sent a termination email... I was wondering, do you need to inform TM first just for a single termination? Nothing received in the end and walked out with anger. Bad staff attitude + low efficiency.

Called 100 at 4p.m. to check the status of connection, still running strong and that operator kept holding me on the line, listening to some crappy ads while waiting for her to do her job. In the end she transferred me to another department claiming that it's not related to her department(Customer Service). Lastly I just made a report... which I doubt would be useful at all. I think I must be the unluckiest guy ever to subscribe this package doh.gif

Unlucky TMPoint. Which TMPoint was it?

The line/streamyx account has been terminated. Thats all , most likely the person has terminated his/her streamyx account.
anyway zeph , you're lucky to get 4Mbps with that low SNR margin. There is no point of capping it any higher as it will result in disconnections but look on the brighter side at least you managed to grab 218.111 ip , heh
*
Yeah, I'm quite lucky. But I believe that the 218.111 IP are for certain areas... I don't live in KL, so maybe that's why I'm still able to get 218.111. My friend who has just got his 4Mbps activated today as well, obtained a 218.111 IP address.
