FREE WiFi Modem: got it, but the LAN Cable given is really really terrible...
becoz the LAN Cable only got 4 wires inside (normal one should have 8 wires)...
The Wifi modem MANUAL is NOT GIVEN??

I reformatted into Win 7 Ulti 64bit. Everything is fine with sidebar off and some windows animation off. Aero peek and windows aero still on. It's smooth now. hahahaha... Just something weird is... The windows startup is nt 7 like but vista like... The "starting windows" place. Vista moving bar came out instead of 7 startup window... but the speed is still 7's speed. Not slow vista speed.

walau............hey guy any encounter this problems also ....i terminated my streamyx on 17 may......coz i need to wait for 1 month quarantine period because the streamyx name was my father name........so in this 1 month .........they still charge my bill...but weird is instead of RM88 they charge RM74+....why so weird ....

Terminated my under contract combo RM60 on June 18 without penalty, and yesterday my streamyx is back in action with coolunipack 1mb package now.

And i just checked my capping is at 3mb for downstream. Happy!

Just type 192.168.1.1 in your browser, then click on the status, then you can see the capping under ADSL.

After login, go to Device Info -> Statistics -> ADSL (now here u are...)

Attainable is your telephone line Potential Rate. The word potential describes 'Possible to Attain' when there are no limitations such as caps. Another word to describe this is Maximum Line Speed. In other words, your line has the ability to obtain up to 2048 kbps of downstream speed, but since you are paying for 1mbps, you are capped at 1280kbps of downstream speed.

What you just need to look, is just Rate.

Attainable rate is affected by factors such as distance from the Exchange Server, condition of copper wire, external factors etc. ADSL2+ Attainable Rate/Maximum Rate/Potential Rate as per its technology only allows up to 24Mbps. ADSL on the other hand, about 8Mbps.
