if you are happy enough with android basic function i would say yes you should get it... but if you want to have lots of apps and customization i would say no...
there might ppl not agree with me, but wildfire cannot fully support all the apps like desire and galaxy or others middle range android which has the 480X320 screen resolution... as i asked the guys yesterday also he answer me frankly, there might be distortion or partial screen black for some apps running on wildfire...then there are rumors that it will only support until Froyo Version 2.2 OS only as the limitation on the screen resolution might not supported by Gingerbread V3.0 (or some say V2.3) OS... so u must ask yourself if there is not future OS updates supported or officially by HTC would you mind or not... i'm in the same situation wif some of you as i wanna get a smartphone but is Wildfire is enough for me, or should i get Iphone as i consider it is around the price of wildfire after contract with maxis... of course desire is also in my mind as maxis offer RM1500 with contract too... but i heard from some feedback from ppl that are using iphone and tried android for a few weeks b4... their verdict/summary is Iphone if you are going for OS experience and good for web surfing... but android offer you more customization on the OS and a lot of apps is free... that is also argument but the quality of the free apps support by android, but i'm not sure compare to the paid apps that apple offer, as we know the quality of the apple apps is quite good.... so u have to judge your own... in my case i'm more towards Iphone but will thinking which should be the right one... Wildfire, Iphone & Desire... This post has been edited by michael9413: Jul 18 2010, 09:37 AM |

i'm not sure as i ask them about the GPS things i'm hold the desire.... haha wildfire feel nice to hold but i'm think about the apps support only...
desire is a lil too big for us (if you are more than 5"10 has a bigger palm it will not then) but it's OS is more responsive than wildfire and do not have any problem with apps support up to now... and desire support future OS upgrade after Froyo2.2 but for wildfire HTC have not give a clear indication yet... |

In terms of app support, for sure there are some apps that will not be supported.. (i have seen a game that says HTC Tattoo not supported so I think the same goes for wildfire)desire is a lil too big for us (if you are more than 5"10 has a bigger palm it will not then) but it's OS is more responsive than wildfire and do not have any problem with apps support up to now... and desire support future OS upgrade after Froyo2.2 but for wildfire HTC have not give a clear indication yet... But how many apps not supported and what apps not supported, so far I have not seen any statistics about it.. I guess mainly on games.. So unless u can give us some data.. I won't call the app support as a deal-breaker yet.. All below confirmed can run by a user in xda forums: QUOTE - AppBrain App Market Source- WikiMobile Encyclopedia - Flashlight - GPS Test - Ustream Viewer - MyCalls Lite - Hulu Shortcut - xPiano - Sipdroid VoIP + video calling - Tubaloo - Rebtel - Calculus Tools - 3G Watchdog - JuicePlotter - Battery Droid - Battery Monitor - Audiobooks - Meridian Media Player Pioneer - Last.fm - Personal Radio - Tuner - gStrings - Guitar Tuner - Windroid (beta) - Google Maps - Droid Comic Viewer - Spirit Level Pro Free - Easy Spirit Level - eBay - Kindle for Android - IMDb Movies & TV - Google Sky Map - Opera Mini 5 browser - WiFi File Manager - iStream Free - yxplayer - doubleTwist Player - Wifi Analyzer - fring - free video calls, IM - VideoBox - PhoneToGo Free - txtr eBook Reader & Store - Data counter widget - Video Player - SNesoid (SNES Emulator) - Remote VNC Pro - Simple Video Player - Wifi Static - Advanced Task Manager - WiFi Fixer - appInstaller - Aldiko Book Reader - Linda File Manager - 3banana Notes - Barcode Scanner - Gearoid Lite(SMS/GameGear emu) - SNesoid Lite (SNES Emulator) - Remotify Lite - Google Translate - Google Goggles - Compass - Stadium Horn Free - FartDroid It seems quite comprehensive amount of apps already..
