Fathil shd stay way clear of this. Grain abundance. Also in some scenes hard to distinguish if the grain is grain or digital noise.

Good point hehe.... but I never really like BSG series when I was younger anyway.... smile.gif

Catch up viewing on older titles.

Slumdog Millionaire
PQ is stable throughout. Golden Hues and some colour timing corrections done by Danny Boyle. However, the details are pretty solid. Did not catch any artifacting or aliasing. AQ is a good test of sub qualities for tightness and bass accuracy in a film track. Soundtrack has LFE moments that will not test how low ur sub can go but how well it handles the soundtrack. Drum beats good and solid. Surrounds used very well and effective. All in in all a good PQ/AQ title.

Movie is pretty ok. Very good acting, from the kid actors to the main actors. No real melodrama, a simple love story and a rags to riches storyline. Danny Boyle stays clear of traditional Hindi movies except at the end. But Boyle tends to do that in his movies anyway. Sunshine comes to mind.

Agreed..

I tot Benjamin Button deserved the oscar for best picture cos I watchd BB first then Slumdog.. Aftr viewin SM.. hv to agree tat it deservd d oscar..
It might not be wholly b'wood production but in essense [not much singin] it cums pretty close..

Haha.. my family likes b'wood.. thou' I dont dislike it.. I m mostly ther for d ride.. hv to agree tat its got pretty much everytin covered - pretty boy + pretty girl + romance + comedy in a wholesome languaged flick [ d ttls I buy anyway ] n in bd format is prbbly d clearest it can get [ barrin any better format further dwn d line..] odo is oso in most instances much hotter than d western tlls plus plus its real value for money - all will be ard 2 n a half hrs at least n sum approachin 4 hrs in length..

Id stil go for Transformers 3 if they focussed more on de machines n less on de ppl....
N ther r other eye candies in h'wood bsides ms fox..

can but most blurays 1080p 1920X1080, if played on a HD Ready TV, it will be downscaled to 1366X768

News for new edition of old BDs:

QUOTE
Also today, Sony has announced a new Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Blu-ray for release on 7/27 (SRP $24.95). This new edition will feature all the extras of the original Blu-ray release (including audio commentary with Ang Lee and James Schamus, the Unleashing the Dragon: The Making of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and A Conversation with Michele Yeoh  featurettes and the photo montage) along with an all-new commentary by cinematographer Peter Pau. The disc will also include new Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio mixes in Chinese (Mandarin), English and French. The previous Blu-ray had uncompressed PCM 5.1 and standard Dolby Digital 5.1 only. Let the grumbling begin.
