Original import still RM149 or RM159 Oh, I saw that too and at first I thought Region A Asian oso have sticker now... but that actually is the 'US-manufactured' for Region A Asian release, if I have my facts right... QUOTE(xemse89 @ May 19 2010, 10:32 PM) That's the IMAX part of TDK switching aspect ratio.... Annoying? that's the best presentation of the lot, look at the PQ... it's mesmerizing!! |

Maskedchan, which version of War of the Worlds you are buying? According to www.blu-ray.com, UK version is 2 BDs whereas US is only 1 BD. Both the price is very similar (£11.99 vs. $19.99). UK version is released by Paramount Pictures whereas US version is DreamWorks.
However, in Amazon UK, their stated it is only 1 disc. But, as you know, Amazon always give wrong info. |

Catch up viewing on older titles.
Slumdog Millionaire PQ is stable throughout. Golden Hues and some colour timing corrections done by Danny Boyle. However, the details are pretty solid. Did not catch any artifacting or aliasing. AQ is a good test of sub qualities for tightness and bass accuracy in a film track. Soundtrack has LFE moments that will not test how low ur sub can go but how well it handles the soundtrack. Drum beats good and solid. Surrounds used very well and effective. All in in all a good PQ/AQ title. Movie is pretty ok. Very good acting, from the kid actors to the main actors. No real melodrama, a simple love story and a rags to riches storyline. Danny Boyle stays clear of traditional Hindi movies except at the end. But Boyle tends to do that in his movies anyway. Sunshine comes to mind. Battlestar Galactica Fathil shd stay way clear of this. Grain abundance. Also in some scenes hard to distinguish if the grain is grain or digital noise. Camera to camera seems to have variation. Also there are clear signs of artifacting, macroblocking and aliasing on some shots. It seems to tighten up as it goes, I'm pretty sure its in the source. However, I'm not sure why. This is based on the 1st disc. AQ is a very strong DTS-HDMA track, hard to fault, except that on some scenes the centre channels tends to slightly muddle up and seem distant. Series seems pretty good. Definately, keeps the momentum going. Will see how this turns out. Not sure if the 1st season is as such due it being VC-1 encode. Will check out Season 2 and give my opinions. |

Oh! Nooooooooooooooooo......
QUOTE UPDATED: Megan Fox Dropped From 'Transformers 3' Source: http://movies.yahoo.com/news/usmovies.acce...-transformers-3Megan Fox has been axed from "Transformers 3," Access Hollywood has confirmed. A source at Paramount, the studio behind the film, told Access that Megan, who played star Shia LaBeouf's love interest in the franchise, would not return for the third movie. The source said that in order to take Shia's character - Samuel James Witwicky -- in a new direction, it was better if Sam wasn't tied down to a love interest. On Wednesday night, however, reps for the actress told People that it was Megan's decision to leave the movie. "Megan Fox will not be starring in 'Transformers 3,'" the reps told the mag. "It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best." A rep for Megan was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood on Wednesday. Nikki Finke, who first reported the news for Deadline that Megan was out, claimed that decision was "ultimately" director Michael Bay's. Bay's rep was also not immediatley available for comment when contacted by Access. The news of Megan's departure from the "Transformers 3" cast comes just months after a dispute emerged between Megan, unnamed "Transformers" crewmembers and even the director. Megan compared her director to "Hitler" and "Napoleon" during an interview with Britain's Wonderland Magazine's September/October 2009 issue. "He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation," Megan said at the time. "He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is," she continued. "So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward." Shortly thereafter, members of the "Transformers" crew posted an open letter on the director's site, condemning the actress for her behavior on set, calling Megan, "the grump of the set," as well as "thankless, classless, graceless" and "unfriendly." The letter was quickly removed and Michael eventually addressed all the comments a short while later. "I don't condone the crew letter to Megan. And I don't condone Megan's outlandish quotes," Bay wrote in a blog post on his official Web site. "But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm. The fact of the matter I still love working with her, and I know we still get along. I even expect more crazy quotes from her on Transformers 3." "Transformers 3" has reportedly already begun filming. Why? Why? Michael Bay, you better watch out, we will send Bro Maskedchan This post has been edited by low98944: May 20 2010, 10:28 AM |

Btw, no doubt as anfieldude mentioned , the blu-ray PQ is awesome. I watched it like 5-6 times. Never got bored. |
