When I converted 720p vids to play it is allright, when I tried with 1080p, the video was stuttering on the iPad, must have messed up a setting or two somewhere.

I still find that at the moment I still need to lug my notebook around, if only because I am still awaiting a competent productivity suite for the iPad. When I did a presentation on the iPad, whatever changes I made cannot export back to PPT lol so still have to make those changes in MS PPT. Unless the other party uses a Mac and then I export it out to Keynote format.

Whe docs to go out iPad edisi is out, I hope my notebook sits in my office most of the time tongue.gif

My iPad which was in my laptop bag last night fell onto a carpeted floor. Was at a restaurant and had the bag propped up on the chair beside and he bumped into it and the bag slid and fell to the ground haih, well don't think there was any damage, should have enough padding in the bag bleh

I'm downloading the iLounge iPad Buyer's Guide PDF from iLounge. The PDF format should look good on GoodReader. Here's the news blurb:-

Thanks for the heads up String, downloading it at the moment and going to transfer it to the iPad, something to read over lunch happy.gif

so i just wondering if i dled on ipad is it under iphone is the same lol

If there is a + sign on the price box in iTunes it denotes a Universal app which can be used on both iPhone and iPad. Most of the apps released currently is either iPad only or iPhone/iPod touch only (*no harm in running these on iPads but fugly), hard to find universal apps.

How does copyright work?

If got 2 ipads, can share same app in both device? Is it protected based on device IME or software serial no. or based on itunes account?
*
Yeap you can use the same app on both devices provided both sync to the same iTunes account.

Added on June 1, 2010, 8:49 pmOdd, noticed that someone bought Documents to go for iPad and tweeted it on Dataviz's twitter channel but cannot seem to locate it on the iTunes store, both MY and US. Man I hope it is true happy.gif finally a better productivity app for the iPad.

Wonderful! Woke up this morning, switched on my iPad and found there was an update for Documents to Go! iPad version ready to go for those who bought the iPhone version smile.gif

Edit: Hmm hoped that it would be better looking...got to say that iWorks for the iPad lacks many features but it looks good.

Edit: Hoping that they allow ppt presentation via the VGA adapter, if not haih have to rely on Keynote again, this is getting frustrating

For Documents To Go, here is the scenario at the moment. For those that purchased the standard Docs To Go, the update to the iPad version is not out yet. For those that purchased Docs To Go Premium Edition, the iPad update is out.

For those that wanted to buy the Docs To Go Premium Edition, it was USD 11.99 this morning but is now USD 14.99 as the sale ended. Yes it was a short time before it went from 12 USD to 15 USD which is why before the iPad version came out they kept asking people to buy the iPhone version as it was on sale as well.

Edit: And....... now it is back to USD 11.99 lol, well for those wanting to get it, better be quick before it goes back to USD 14.99. Just checked, QuickOffice does not have an iPad version yet and OfficeHD2 does not do Powerpoint yet.

Edit: Confirmed, unless I cannot find the option, there is no slideshow option in this build yet. So at the moment whatever you do, you can open it up in Keynote which will import it to its own format then you slideshow from there. Man I had hoped that Dataviz would have included slideshow and the ability to use the VGA adapter sigh

So in theory friends and family can share apps just by using same itunes login.
*
In theory, iTunes allows you to authorize up to 5 computers, so if they use the same logins they should get access to those apps as well.

erm, FYI for my single beejive purchase, it is currently being used in 2 iPhone 3GS and an iPad touch

oh wait and my ex-iPad too

so that's 4 devices?
*
Not sure, when my cousin tried to sync beejive to his iPhone it gave an error message. Maybe an older version bug?

can't be.

i have been on beejive since erm for as long as i can remember (way before the introduction of push capabilities)

so i'm quite sure that i have covered numerous versions of the beejive update.
*
Roger that, will go correct my statement, thanks for confirming that. Maybe some weird issue when syncing. Thanks.

maxPC,
can advice wat is documents to go good for?
*
Docs To Go is a productivity suite similar to what you get with iWorks. You can create and format MS Office 2007/XP documents, however unlike Keynote, you cannot do a slideshow on it at the moment (*unless I cannot locate the button). For me Keynote is still good but I am cursing the fact that when I import I cannot export back out to MS Office format, same goes with numbers, but Pages can.

If you have used the iPhone version, it is similar with the exception of the app now taking advantage of the fullscreen. For me, being desperate means creating something in Docs To Go then hopefully no changes prior to meeting, then save and open it up in Keynote to do presentation via the VGA adapter. If got changes after presentation, have to make notes, and make the changes in Docs To Go, I know I know not exactly the best process but until Apple updates Keynotes to export back out to Office I am stuck with this lol

No issues when using Dropbox, authenticated and it downloaded whichever documents I clicked on.

Thanks to yesterday's poisoning, I've just bought The Early Edition and Night Stand HD apps. Early Edition for that newspaper look on RSS feeds (Pulse still looks better), while Night Stand HD for that "table-clock" look. Perfect with any docks/stands.
*
Checking out Night Stand HD, but I love The Early Edition happy.gif

But at the moment I don't think Apple Malaysia honor any iPad warranty since the iPad hasn't been launched yet. They don't have the tech/customer support for it.
*
In my view, if you buy knowingly with the knowledge that there isn't local support or warranty yet then it is a risk you are taking. Being an early adopter is like that. However it is rare that the device is DOA unless you are unlucky. Although there isn't a local support or warranty the seller can assist with sending the unit off to the States or Aus (*depending on where it is purchased from).
