Hi Guys,

I m facing a deep deep dilemma between LG 50PJ350 & Samsung 50C430 plasma TV.

What do you guys think?

From the paper, i understand that the LG has 3 HDMI vs 2 HDMI inputs from Samsung but the LG is more expensive by RM200+.


Both are relatively new and i can't find much review of it.

Personally i prefer [i have the budget] Samsung 50' Plasma TV

im using lg plasma here as well..so far no regrets..
but i cant really tell u how its compared to the rest..since i upgrade from crt .. basically anything in hd amazes me now lol

Thanks for your honest opinion. Appreciate it. I'm sick of my pana 42 inch X10, so moving it up the room and replace it with a 50in in da living room and wanna try some other brand. i wont be playing a lot of HD (cant really afford bluray), just Astro with component cable and normal DVD with Sony player which runs HDMI cable. Oh ya will be playing Wii (component cable) and PS3 (HDMI) also.

I hear LG Plasmas have black levels issue coupled with burn in problems as well

nah man....it can get quite political at home when comes to channel. So i m just playing safe before world cup.


i'm not sure bout x28k but generally i find it not bad lah, quite nice. Same goes to LCD also, i tried it on my frens Sony LCD, not much different to my noob eye. Hope it helps hahaha

not being bias or anything(since i own a plasma).. i tried looking at plasma and lcd side by side...for me the colour on plasma looks better on astro and movies.. i cant really say if its for gaming tho.. i got my plasma for a cheap price..so im pretty happy

any Panasonic 50 inch plasma still in the market ? maybe you should compare the Sammy with that....just my opinion.

Is this a good buy? It says warranty only 1 year? i thought samsong gives 2 years ??

would recommend Samsung..used for 3years still no problem

i bought my plasma 50 for 3400

panasonic p42x28K and samsung ps42c451 are about the same price. for features, samsung got usb that can play movie files too, optical audio output. panny only got sd slot

which one is better in terms of PQ and best bang for the buck?

another plasma LG 42pj350r also at the same price range with usb. but i think its PQ not as good as panny and samsung. pls share your comment.

Yeah, plasma does look much better for analog signal from astro or sat. I m not so much of a gamer anyway.

I had a Panny and am interested in other brand. X10 is great great piece of budget plasma i must say.
