tried sb-900 but still limits to 1/200s. furthermore no fp high speed sync in d5000...

Alamak, can't turn on FP? In that case, you can't use flash for outdoors most of the time since you most likely go above 1/200s.

thats y bro. even if i crank up d aperture till f/36 & lo down d iso, its still above 1/200s . no fp...dang this d5000 limitations

LOL, time to upgrade! Now you know the differences between D5000 and D90 . It isn't just the built in motor which many people thinks.

Anybody here using photoshop CS4 portable? Can this portable version open .NEF raw files? coz I using portable version all the way, dunno how to add in camera raw addware

portable can't load RAW files, unfortunately you'll have to install the full version for it or lightroom ler

owh btw.. what's the setting for d3000 to capture a photo in disco/pub. using flash gun sb600.

just use widest aperture, set your flash on auto mode, ISO100-200 and adjust shutter speed accordingly. can try bouncing the flash upwards or direct, but use a diffuser la. well at least that way you can see the girl's face nice and clear and bright, but not for the background la of course hehe.

I suggest ISO 400~800, flash mode you like (auto or manual, depends on your skill), and of course widest aperture. I would use manual mode on 1/50 or 1/60s shutter.
