guys. have u all notice how soft our rear speakers are?
too soft for me to hear from rear seat. unlike myvi or other car. will check it when my first service comes.

Also got a good mileage on my car 1l for 18km. ron 97...
(my travel is 60~80km/h slow acceleration. never exceed 3Krpm)

As a Mazda 2 Owner , I am going thru the hard time now .. sad.gif

It is about the car rim .
My M2 is just abt 3 mths and mileage is about 5000KM.

On monday I found that my driver side tyre puncture. As norm practice , I changed to the spare tyre (which is yellow colour) and brought the affected tyre to the shop to check.

Shock of my life when i was informed that my rim cracked .. it is about 2cm... how does it happen ?

I remember that i accidently drove into a small hole 2 months back and the hole is not that deep or big as i check immediately there is nothing affected.

Y'day ,I went to Mazda service centre to check what is the default and i am so disappoint with the answer given.

1. There is no warranty and they claim I hit a big hole.
2. They keep on saying that the quality of the rim cannot be assured and it is not their matter.
3. BIG surprise the one unit of RIM will cost RM 1500.

My question is :
1. The rim is not reliable  ? no quality ?
When you are driving about 40Km and hit a hole , can a car rim crack ?

I had same experience with Sentra and what happen is totally different . The type puncture and rim was bend a bit but NOT CRACK.

So the rim is not reliable ? compare to other models ?
and the cost of replacement is so high ?
It is a very bad experience for me as the owner of M2.. icon_question.gif

my car even hit big hole 3 times d with loud knocking sound and everytime it hits the hole, i bring to the tyre shop and every stil ok including the rim..so..i think no problem with the quality of the rims..maybe u r the unlucky 1,warranty surely doesnt cover ur case as u definitely mention u hit hole when u bring for check..

Yup I noticed that too, went to SC and they checked on all the M2 that's parked there and it's the same, so basically it's designed this way...

Mazda 2 is a very good fun nimble small car. I only wish they sell the manual version here...I also happy to see that Ford Malaysia gonna sell the Ford Fiesta in manual version too...Nowadays most cars here is in auto trans. In Europe most ppl love the manual version. Usually the ppl who use auto trans in Europe is old ppl.

LOL. Let me tell you why. Because transportation facilities in overseas are well built and organized, they can always travel with public transportation and it's not necessary for them to own a car unlike Malaysia. With the overloaded quantity of cars in Klang valley, if you think you feel comfortable of driving a manual transmission during congested period then it's your choice smile.gif

Just did my 1st 1000 km car service after driven it for 2 weeks!.... tongue.gif

They just change my engine oil (black oil.... biggrin.gif ) and oil filter....and nothing else. Just wanna ask, if i wanna add say...the coolant, must i go back to their service centre or can i get it replenished in other service centres as well (other than Mazda panels).

My SA service seems to be getting better nowadays. smile.gif He just updated me saying that the alarm system (with siren) will come in probably next month and i can get it installed in their service centre. He doesn't know the price yet though.

shlimmm,
Any obligation that you require in the M2 club?
