Bought the M2 R-Spec Metropolitan Gray colour for 9 days now, almost reaching the 1000KM run-in mark.

Hope to see more fellow M2's on the road, anyone know if there's any M2 club in Malaysia?

The one with "2" decal is only available in Canada if i'm not mistaken, only 500 units are available. The middle one looks menacing, i like that one.

Found a problem with my M2 sedan, when raining or washing the car water will slip into the outer brake glass cover.

Bermaz customer service have agreed to replace both brake lights, do check your M2 carefully for this matter.

There's one thing I noticed when driving at speed above 100km/h, there's some kind of stange smell coming thru the vent and I can't make out what is it, the smell is not unbearable and it comes and goes within a minute, but the smell is always there when I speed.

Any M2 owners out there experiencing this strange phenomenon?
Any ideas what causes the stange smell?

Is it our M2 dont have Alarm system?? Coz i press the key button, dont have sound. If dont have, i go to Car Acessory shop install Security System, will void the Warranty???
*
The M2 does not come with alarm system, it's only the keyless entry system and immobilizer system installed, that means if you duplicate your car key, you won't be able to start the car coz the original key has a microchip hidden inside, when you insert the correct key into the ignition slot the immobilizer will disable.

I'm not sure whether it will void your warranty if you go and install an alarm system, better check with your sa.

BTW, there's a TT for Mazda owners this coming Sunday at Putrajaya, you can check out their website at http://www.mazdaownerzclub.com/news.php
It's my first time attending a Mazda TT in my new M2, hope to see more M2s there this Sunday.

I'm driving the R spec, driving experience wise as leinnz had mentioned, it's a bit rocky when you're driving. But cornering is superb even at high speed, the car does not tilt sideway much in the corners.

Tyre pressure plays a big role for the R spec, especially since it comes with 195/45 R16 tyres. IMO 30 psi is recommended for the front after testing it with different psi on the road.

I'm starting to wonder why everyone else M2 is taking so long, as mine only took 2 weeks... maybe I'm unfortunate to have taken a test car...

I heard many friends say RON97 actually has better ringgit to mileage ratio, as you need less rev to accelerate and over taking.

Have switched to RON97 since Monday, will see how it goes on the results.

You guys sticking back to stock size tires or plan to go for thicker ones?
*
The R-Spec stock tyres looks good enough to me smile.gif 195/45R16 is sporty looking at the moment.
