Are you buying the HB type? If yes, i was told some buyers have waited 3 months and still couldn't get their cars.

QUOTE(happyshirt @ Jul 1 2010, 10:42 AM)

Sighhh i so understand the frustration. Mazda make me want to cry already. and i am not crying tears of joy!!!!!
I dunno why they have to make it so hard for us. We are buying the car not asking for it free. If not interested in doing business then don't try to sell the thing.

Car 1 month late from date salesman promised. salesman dunno how to call to update that will be late i had to call. in the end complain to Mazda.com.my.
Mazda.com.my said "special arrangement" car ready to be picked up on Wed last week. By Fri still no car, i ask them u sending from KL kah or from the Thailand factory? 3 days still cannot reach Penang? Oh sorry, mistake happen blame the transport co.
So send car on Friday.
Saturday morning go check OK.

They want my balance payment so, i pass cheque on Monday to the salesman.
Then blackout period start again no news. Wednesday i call ask, so when i get my car? Oh today they send the AP from KL. harrr??/ WHY THEY CANNOT SEND THE AP WITH THE CAR kah? Wait till Wednesday to send.
Say today Thursday send for inspection. Then maybe Friday get car. HAR???!??!?!!?!?

Correct ah like this? Did u guys face all this rubbish also???

Cannot buy from Daniel sim i in Penang.

I just collected my M2 on Tuesday. Took the V Specs with leather seats. Just installed Llumar tint on the car yesterday. Must admit the car look more sporty now. tongue.gif

My comments when i first got the car was,
i) The extra car key provided does not come with remote control.
ii) No alarm system is installed. The SA told me that if i installed alarm on my own, the warranty will be void.

I posted the same message in another forum and some bros suggested that i go to a panel shop to get it fixed.

Agree with your comments.

Though i dun really enjoy a smooth transaction with my SA, i just tolerate with what i can. No point to always engage in an argument when we know the SA can't do magic.

As for delivery of car, i must admit i'm quite impressed with the arrangement. I booked my M2 in early May and my car already arrived 2 weeks later. The registration of number plate (i submitted some tenders) and some hiccup from the runner delayed my collection till last Tuesday.

Understand your feeling bro happyshirt.

I had quite a similar experience like you. I was the one who call and do the checking all the while.

Just want to check if you guys got any free gift from the SA. Luckily i checked with some frens, i managed to get free car tint from the SA. Even that i have some problem.

The SA said i'd be getting free Llumar tint. Initially i didn't bother to check and just go with it. After a while, i decided to browse for more info on this Llumar tint. At the end, i found out that the SA was actually getting me a tint from one of Llumar's dealer. Meaning it's a film by the dealer and not Llumar themselves.

I know this by contacting one of Llumar's dealer directly to inquire about their films and prices. At the end, i managed to settle this issue with my SA and finally, i got myself the real Llumar film tinted on my M2.

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise but because of the unpleasant experience from the SA and others, i learnt a lot too.

After reading all the experiences you guys (and gal smile.gif) had, i feel i'm a little bit luckier. Though there were some bad times throughout the whole process, everything was kinda ok at the end.

Happyshirt,
What tint voucher did they give you?

If it's still an option, i suggest that you guys go for a free car tint rather than full tank. Full tank on M2 cost roughly around RM77 only while free tint would easily cost RM500 and above. I doubt they will offer a pariah tint for their cars. They need to maintain certain level of reputation also mah.

I read somewhere in the forum from other site where they mentioned the delivery of M2 HB in Penang is greatly delayed because there was no vessel carrying the cars entering the port.

I booked my M2 sedan in early May and the car already delivered to Port Klang 2 weeks later. Due to some delay from my tendering on car number, my collection was delayed to last Tuesday.

Because of certain inconveniences caused by the SA, i had to DIY certain things and i learn new things too.

I am taken aback by your comments. You are making the buyers feel we've been taken for a ride.

I'm not sure what other dealers provide as free gift but i am very sure what i'm getting from my SA. I know this because at the end i sort of become frens with the tint film dealer. It will be a lengthy message if i were to share the whole story here.

My M2 arrived 2-3 weeks after i made my booking. I had to wait another 1 month before i finally collected my M2 last Tuesday because i was waiting for the tender results (which i lost....twice sad.gif ) . The 1 month waiting time allows me to explore more through my SA and frens.

Just did my 1st 1000 km car service after driven it for 2 weeks!.... tongue.gif

They just change my engine oil (black oil.... biggrin.gif ) and oil filter....and nothing else. Just wanna ask, if i wanna add say...the coolant, must i go back to their service centre or can i get it replenished in other service centres as well (other than Mazda panels).

My SA service seems to be getting better nowadays. smile.gif He just updated me saying that the alarm system (with siren) will come in probably next month and i can get it installed in their service centre. He doesn't know the price yet though.

shlimmm,
Any obligation that you require in the M2 club?

Rough estimation...mine goes for 12.8km/l or 7.7l/100km

Tested my M2 on long journey last week. From Klang down to Johor. Overall very satisfactory experience.

Have any of the bros and sis here tried driving their M2 up to Genting? If yes, how's the performance of the car especially when driving up the steep slope?

I'll be going to Genting this Sunday and still thinking whether to drive the M2 up there or use another car.

I've been to Berjaya Hills Resort @Bukit Tinggi, the driving condition is similar to Genting i believe.
my M2 had no problem climbing steep slopes, it's fun to drive up as well.
