Inter Milan coach Mancini aims to cut Juventus leadtribalfootball.com - December 18, 2005 QUOTE Inter Milan are aiming to cut Juventus' Serie A lead today against Reggina.
Juve were held by Lazio yesterday and Inter coach Roberto Mancini said: "Juve deserve to be where they are.
"But there are so many games left to play and I believe that we can recover.
"I have won tournaments in which we have recovered nine points over Juve and I have lost tournaments having had a seven point advantage.
"Everything is to play for and we will hope to cut the difference before the end of the first round."
Inter will be hoping Brazilian forward Adriano can come up with the goods with the 23-year-old having regained his top form.
Adriano struck twice against Milan to bring an end to a disappointing spell in his career.
"I want to continue to score and help Inter win," Adriano said.
"I've gone through a difficult month but I have recovered my form and I have to thank my team-mates because they have supported me in every game." I am sure more goals can be seen on Inter's games after Adriano has regained his form

Martins pens new Inter deal Striking sensation Obafemi Martins has extended his current deal at Inter, the club announced today. The Nigeria international, who leaves for African Nations Cup duty in January and will not be available to the Nerazzurri for up to two months, is highly valued by Inter management and has signed until 2010. The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks with the sleeping giants and made his debut for the Milan-based club in December 2002. Martins, who is renowned for his electric pace and his acrobatic goal celebrations, has already scored 23 goals in 73 Serie A appearances and has managed 42 in 112 matches in all competitions. Inter are currently in the process of evaluating various player contracts, including that of Alvaro Recoba and Julio Cruz, but Martins is the first to cement his immediate future to the San Siro outfit. from channel4

Inter chalked up another great win : 4-1 against Empoli... but... Adriano rushed to hospital Adriano has been taken to hospital for further tests after he was knocked unconscious by a clash of heads during the 4-1 win over Empoli. The Inter striker, who had opened the scoring in tonight's game, rose to meet a cross and accidentally clattered into defender Raggi 14 minutes into the match. Initial images of the Brazilian were worrying, as he had lost consciousness and required several minutes of treatment from the Inter medical staff, who were trying to ensure he did not swallow his own tongue. Adriano was awake and moving his arms when he was stretchered off the field and will be kept in hospital overnight for observation. More...

Inter Milan's Adriano: I was scaredtribalfootball.com - December 24, 2005 QUOTE Inter Milan striker Adriano admitted he was scared after he was knocked unconscious against Empoli on Wednesday night. "I was certainly scared alright," said Adriano. "But it's in the past now, so I'm okay. "The doctors assured me I'm okay so tomorrow I'll be able to return to Brazil to spend some time with my family. "It was a nasty experience, but it's in the past now and that's what counts." More... Inter Milan prepare £7M bid for Liverpool's Cissetribalfootball.com - December 24, 2005 QUOTE Inter Milan patron Massimo Moratti is weighing up a £7 million bid for Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse.
Coach Roberto Mancini has already told Moratti he needs to sign a new striker next month with Obafemi Martins committed to Nigeria's African Nations Cup campaign.
Inter have already recalled Nigerian whiz Victor Obinna from Chievo, but the teenager has also been selected by Nigeria for the tournament.
Moratti is understood to be preparing a £7 million bid for Cisse, well aware the Frenchman is frustrated with his bit-part role at Anfield.

I have to say i'm really surprised at how well Figo has adopted to the Serie A...i thought he has passed his prime but he's really proved me wrong...but then again maybe because the Italians are more patient in the build-up play as opposed to La Liga's fast-paced action, therefore Figo still can do his stuff Gotta say Obafemi Martins is a freakin' FAST player!!! He can run REALLY fast!!! Even in Pro Evo Soccer also his character is super fast!

QUOTE(verx @ Dec 25 2005, 02:20 AM) la liga is almost as slow as the serie a as a matter of fact real werent performing as a team so that could have affected his form i guess he stepped up to a new challenge really they say form is temporary but class is permanent how true Not really, because Serie A is heavily relied on tactical battles, especially in terms of defence...that's why it's not often you'll see high scoring games in Serie A, and they have the best defence in the world...whereas in La Liga you'll see all the flair of play on the field, it's how players like Ronaldinho shine...That's why when the success rate of Italian players in La Liga is really rare... But i do agree that class is permanent

Inter target Riquelme Villarreal's Juan Roman Riquelme is the latest player linked with a move to Inter as a replacement for Juan Sebastian Veron. The 27-year-old midfielder is said to be keen to play alongside his Argentina teammate Esteban Cambiasso and apparently believes that this is the right stage in his career for a move to Italy. Inter promise to be very active in the January market and with several expensive arrivals already planned, this deal is almost certain to wait until the summer when Veron departs for his native Argentina. Veron to return to his rootsJuan Sebastian Veron intends to shun the limelight and play for former club Estudiantes when he returns to Argentina at the end of the season. He said: " I do not want to play for either Boca Juniors or River Plate. "If I leave an important European league, I do not want to start at zero in a big team. " I want to stay quiet, with my family. Although Inter gave me lot of money, I will play for Estudiantes." Source: http://msn.foxsports.com

Inter Milan make offer for Lazio's Cesartribalfootball.com - January 4, 2006 QUOTE Lazio president Claudio Lotito is demanding £2 million for wing-back Cesar.
Lotito wants to sell the Brazilian this month after he described the club's new contract offer as "ludicrous".
Inter Milan patron Massimo Moratti has been in contact with a concrete offer of £600,000 - which falls well short of what Lotito is seeking.
