No! AFAIK blackjack odds is better than pontoon! Reason?
Pontoon is basically blackjack without the 10s. If you understand blackjack, the more 10s and Aces in the deck, the higher the odds for the player.
*
isnt that a double edged sword since the odd would be the same for both the player as well as the dealer, the only diff which would provide the dealer with a very small advantage would be hitting on a soft 17.

But what i would like to know if there is any precondition to "surrender", say the dealers first card is an ace, can i opt for surrender or is that option only available for cards other than an "ace"?

If i not mistaken, baccarat has better odds since its basically 50/50 with you either betting on the player or the dealer. I noticed alot of foreign workers, especially the bangla and indian workers prefer to play a form of russian roulette or spin the big wheel game.

The china workers usually go for pontoon or blackjack but they tend to play the "tumpang" game.

normally i will go for baccarat, like u said, its 50/50 chance and most importantly, u won't meet those stupid aunty that scold u if u take card at 15 points. and when they lose, they blame u. i played blackjack the other day at Sands and i can't find any pontoon table there. I personally still prefer pontoon compare to blackjack. I din see any 3 card poker table in SG though. its a nice game.
*
I played at the sands last sunday, was quite surprised it wasnt that packed on the weekends. The pontoon table is in between the singapore poker game and blackjack, there are about 12-16 tables allocated for pontoon.

I know some aunty and uncles or "wild" players will shout "picture" which is quite annoying. At least me and my bro walked out the sands 500 dollars richer with only a capital of 200 to begin with. Its quite surprising how fast you can either win or lose depending on how you play the odds.

Actually no, odds for blackjack definitely better than pontoon.. i don't know how to explain here, but this is what professional gambler told me..
Bacarrat is not 50/50 chance game, banker wins probability is 0.458597 and player wins probability is 0.446247, but I do agree bacarrat is one of the highest probability games.
You need to combine the good baccarat strategy and money management when you play this game, by then your odds will be increased.

If you know how to count card, blackjack is better..
*
Mana boleh count cards with since they have those card shufflers with around 5 decks of cards all jumbled in.

If it was a standard 1 deck all you need is an eidetic memory and some math skills and your good to go.

that's why you are not professional gambler! try to google blackjack count card and you will get the idea what is it about..
*
I never said i was a pro gambler. Its technical unfeasible to count decks and calculate the odds with a auto shuffling 5 deck machine. You would need to be a savant to be able to do the calculations in your head in real time.

Looks like another death of migrant workers coz of unsafe transport conditions. Its very hypocritical of the Singaporeans to espouse the virtue at the workplace of "Work safe, safety first and safety starts with me" but still force migrant workers to ride vehicles designed to transport goods, not people all under the excuse of cost.

If your company give you blackberry you still want 2 have another phone? Might as well use blackberry as your primary phone.

the bb on data plan only..cant use to call out..only receive emails sad.gif

so i still have to carry a normal phone for emergency call...
*
very unusual, that mean your BB just for receiving and sending e-mail. I didnt know sg telco can have the option of data but no voice calls. I guess they dont want you to abuse by calling people.

Usually the burmese, filipino, indians and banglas will talk for hours on end until the battery dies.

If its in your jobscope then with or without for e-mail your still screwed. Unless your boss ask you to go while he/she gallivanting somewhere else without a care in the world, like BP's CEO who went yachting during the BP deepwater crisis.

Previously I was thinking to get Motorola Droid because of its physical keyboard, but now am considering HTC Desire/iPhone 4 because I find the keyboard not as intuitive as other phone's.
*
I tried the keyboard on the driod aka milestone and its ok. I heard they made further refinements for it in the upcoming successor to the driod.

you spend less then 10 dollars a day for 3 meals a day?

I just found out that with an EP i can use the electronic gantry gate instead of having to have an immigration officer scan my pass. I still think the officer does a faster job then the gantry machine, just like malaysia passport scanner which is quite slow.

EP cannot use the Automated Gate Clearance, only can use the normal checkpoint smile.gif but they will not stamp on ur passport, just scan ur EP.

Am using the Access Card, passing through the Automated Gate EVERYDAY. Just finger print! dont even need to have the passport to be check. lol

Only hassle is at Malaysia.. need to check passport sad.gif
*
Im not sure if i'm using the automated gate clearance since i just goto the gate, scan my passport and then my finger print and im good to go. There seems to be a slot for a card of some sort but i;ve tried that with my card and it doesnt work. So i just scan my passport at the passport scanner and then the thumb print.

Malaysia passport in Singapore immigration custom?

Yes. Usually when i goto woodlands singapore immigration, the right lanes are for singaporeans and PR, and the left is for foreginers which passes.

But my bro told me he's been doing it at changi since getting his new EP, so i tried and it works.

My bro only found out about it when he was at changi the the immigration officer mentioned to him why he didnt just scan his passport and fingerprint at the gate rather then goto the immigration officer.

Some ships, not all ships plus its only for higher rung officers. Nobody gonna pay u USD5000 for a deckhand.

I've been on ships anchored in international waters, its farking boring when i finish my job and have to wait for the next chopper or boat to get me the hell off the ship.

Fortunately the captain gives me internet privileges since i need to check my mail and update my work online. But some of the junior officers dont get net access of they have to use a common recreation room for net access.

nothing wrong without internet, just bring some fishing rod and fish while onboard
*
Some ships your not allowed to fish due to incidences where by the fishing line may get entangled, plus you never know what parasites, disease or toxic chemicals maybe in the fish. If your on OnG ships, then the food is good and quantity is never a problem, plus every fortnight is BBQ night.

Chartered Semi no longer exists. It's now Globalfoundries. Got a number friends there who often complain about the place.
Don't know how many times I see Ferraris and Lambos on the street, ppl queuing up to get into an LV store, etc...
*
With so many people queuing and owning an LV bag, its exclusivity factor goes down the drain. If you want something more exclusive in singapore, get burberry blue label. Only japan sells this line of burberry products, got my mom a handbag over there.
