.  Just get ready 1 Month Deposit + First Month Rent + 1/2 Month Rent to Agent.  For example, if you room is SGD400, then bring along SGD1000.  Normally it's cash dealing as far as i know.

*
this is the normal practice but not really a must, pretty much depends on the owner. Many years back we managed to persuade the owner to deferred the deposit for the whole flat till probably the 3rd month + our company paid the 1st month rental for us rclxms.gif

M1 looks not so aggressive compared to last time. Singtel is definitely the front runner.

Any idea how they determine whether you reside in west or east malaysia? Can I just tell them im going to stay at east malaysia then i can get full cpf refund. As malaysia is not control by them tho? lolz

I'm been told that only OA and SA can be refunded. MA is burned. If you not claiming any medical services, you wont getting any single cent from MA at the end of the day. Is that true? Any supporting?
*
you could transfer the MA upon your death, if you have any left, to your next of kin smile.gif

we are offered iFlexi Value plan at SGD$30 (normal SGD$56) per month. Need only to pay SGD$110 (normal SGD$888) for the iPhone4 16GB. also need to sign 2 years contract. worth it ? anyone else got a better corporate rate ?

Uhh...SGD888 is if you buy the phone without a contract right? Since you are getting iFlexi Value you should only 'normally' pay around SGD200 for the phone, but still a good deal get 50% off.
*
yeah SGD$888 is without contract. I'm not sure normally how much is the phone with iFlexi Value plan but on top of that we have around 45% discount on the monthly payment itself, SGD$30 instead of SGD$56.
after calculation for 2 years, SGD$30 X 24 month = SGD$720 + SGD$110 (phone price) = SGD$830, which is still cheaper than $888 rclxms.gif

i'm just curious if there is a better corporate plan out there ? probably SIA, heard theirs is pretty good.

In the end, I have to pump Shell V-Power for me to drive back from KL to SG.
*

Why is it weird? There are no agents in this forum. There is no consistent supply of people with rooms to rent out, who will populate the thread.
*
also the room get rented out pretty quickly. think best is still agent

hihi, paiseh need to ask 1 question, anyone know which shop have iPad stock? 64GB 3G+wifi model. i got a relative wanna buy. they said they went to summerset 313 and they got no stock. Even work for Apple but need to ask this kinna question, really feel paiseh.

1 more thing, if we do online purchase in the Apple store, can we get GST refund?
*
there's really a shortage of stocks for iPad at apple premium reseller. it's better to order thru apple store online. I did that and got mine in under 2 weeks. delivery also free but I think you will need a Singapore issued credit card and Singapore address.

no GST refund for online purchased.

i am planning to do so, but can they get GST refund if we order from the Apple online store?
*
no coz the set are meant for local orders only.

it's more value for money to get the wifi only version + mifi device than getting the wifi + 3G version.

Delivered by parcel mail/courier?

Figured out how to get movies on an external hdd/thumb drive/memory card etc into the iPad so that you can watch your own collection? This is the sticking point for me about the iPad although I love the browser.
*
yup. delivered by DHL up to your doorstep, free.
The only way to play from thumb drive is to get a storage with wifi, other than that you have to jailbreak and use the camera connecting kit to hook up an external USB storage driveI

iPad? hmmm.... I still prefer a proper laptop than an iPad.
*
you didn't have to choose. get both smile.gif
best about the iPad is the 0 sec boot time. sometimes I just need to access the email fast or just need to browse on some site. it's just perfect. and apple have this wonderful program called MobileMe, which sync all the macs smile.gif
- sync my iPhone, iPad, MacBook and mac mini all into 1.

I see that most of you put your expected salary in the resume? Is it necessary? I always  think that the first last party who name their price will have the upper hand in any negotiation, no?
*
it's not a must to put your expected salary. Last time I just put, 'I am willing to accept the company salary bracket' . hehe tongue.gif

are you a Singaporean ? PR ? if not, why should the member of parliament bother about you ? they have better things to do at hand.

many HDB housing policies were implemented lately.. for those thinking to get a HDB here, do you have any strategies or plan for it ?

since its illegal now to have HDB and property investment in malaysia now , how do u guys go about it ?
*
hiya, just purchase and put parents name. I disposed of my Msia property before I got my HDB last time coz Msia property market is a bit slow to pick up. so not worth keeping. now thinking of getting a studio apartment in JB.
