it's cheaper for every iPad model in My compared to Sg. I can't help but think that Apple is 'dumping' their iPad in My, probably new version gonna be out ? Not that I'm complaining, i LUV my iPad

1. Get a telco line and sign up 019 (Singtel) or 018 (Starhub), unlimited overseas call to Msia & a few other countries at local rate
2. Get a Skype account, get skype credit and call her mobile. their rates are very reasonable.
3. Stay around Woodlands/Choa Chu Kang/Yew Tee ... get high floor 10th and above. My wife managed to get her Maxis signal almost 90% strength in the bedroom. That's why she is keeping her Maxis line

i always use skype to call overseas, especially on iP4. The quality is good, probably due to the fast 3G speed we're having.

no need hosting lar. Just hangout at Starbucks also will do. Those who are planning to work in Sg also can drop by, at least get more info from those already work there before heading down. Good opportunity to make friends also.
