maybe upgrade to other brand smile.gif
question, after a few attempt to blow the sensor dust out (and not success) with a blower(cheap 1), is the problem lied on the blower or the technique (i hold the camera face down with left hand and press the blower on right hand, not using the technique in first page, as i believe that dust still ther if blow like this right??)
*

Ive just blowed clean my sensor.
I just made sure that I try to reduce any chance of introducing new dusts by blowing in a clean room and no wind/fan blowing nearby.

get 55-200mm la...quite good..apart from the excruciatingly slow auto focus...

looking for a bright lens too...

atm, Tamron 70200F2.8
or Sigma 70200F2.8 HSM OS
or Sigma 50-150 F2.8 HSM
or Sony SAL 100F2.8 Macro

any other choice?

70200G and 135CZ I dream only la... haha

At the moment, my preference (in no particular order)
1- Tamron 70200F2.8
2- Sony SAL100F2.8 Macro

The 100F2.8 Macro has AF that is slow (from what I hear la). But is the slow AF during macro only or for non macro too?
How slow is the slow AF ?
Useable for stage performance ?
anyone?

any other primes choice?

Someone selling his Tammy 70-200mm f2.8. Pretty good for stage performance. Discard the 100mm f2.8. It's pretty useless for stage performance. smile.gif
*

I like the prime for its weight... very convenient, not heavy.
the Sony SAL100F2.8 Macro is 510g whilst the Tamron 70200F2.8 is 1112g

I think you guys are right... the Tamron is a much better choice.

Guys, anyone got tripod thats "kaput"/hangkang already? Would like to know what brand and why ...

DIGIeye Professional tripods (professional ? really?) are very cheap ~RM200 only... I tempted but worries me if it is good enough to support DSLR + a 70200 lens.

Also WeiFang Professional tripod and Octopus Professional ... these tripods cost in the range of RM200 only compared to others much much expensive.

Would like to read others view on these tripods... Thanks

For sunset shots, you may need tripod because may need to use slow shutter speed.

30s daylight also might have chance to cook your sensor smile.gif

long exposure does not destroy the sensor... !
That is a myth !!!

Added on May 18, 2010, 4:38 pmwhat you can do for sunset photography if do not have ND filters ... is to wait some more until it gets darker... then you can use long exposure... might get a more dramatic shots too... 8^)
