Looking at EXIF data to learn and as a starting point in learning IMHO is OK.
I dont know about others, bu I too learn by looking at EXIF data.

thanks for the info  rclxms.gif

wow... iER very keen observation.
close & accurate... nearly got it correct...

extra info for bro 8tvt,

1- I zoomed in to ~50mm but shooting at ~MFD (min focal distance) so that the subject will nearly fill the frame.

2- using 1/60s for shutter speed because I want to avoid camera shake (ie 1/f distance, here f distance is 50... hence shutter speed I used 1/60s). Although with Sony's SSS, I maybe able to shoot images 1-2 stops lower than the 1/(f distance), but for this photo, the subject (orchid) was high above my head height... I had to shoot with my arms fully stretched above my head and tilting the LCD down so that Im able to see the framing. Shooting with camera held above the head does not help stabilizing and avoiding camera shake... hence better to use faster shutter speed.

3- I used the aperture number F5.6 because I want a deeper DOF than using F4.0 or 4.5... so that other parts of the flower too are not blurry.

4- Used ISO 800 which is high because the ambient light was not much. It was shot at ~5:46pm (which is not bright.. if in Peninsular Msia the equivalence of shooting at 6:46pm lighting). Also if look properly, can see speckles of water droplets showing that it was slightly after raining that I shot this. Hence the sky is quite casted. Thus, the reason why I chosed a high ISO.

for that, the price, reconsider benro travel angel series, google it and utube it, very poisonessssss... i dislike how manfrotto is over priced because of the brand, quality and durability wise, they are same but benro cheaper.
*

OK... Im considering biggrin.gif

For DSLR + 70200F2.8 lens + VG + flash gun... which benro (tripod + head) should I look at?

FYI,
A550 ~ 599g (without battery)
70200G ~ 1500g (incl tripod mount)
VG-B50AM ~ 290g (without battery)
HVL-F58AM - ~440g (without battery)

Batteries:
NP-FM500H 2 pcs ~ 78g x 2 = 156g (2 pcs)
Eneloop AA 4 pcs ~ 150g (4 pcs) nb: I think should be 15g for 4 pcs... not sure.

Total weight ~ (599 + 1500 + 290 + 440 + 156 + 150)g
= ~ 3135g <--- maybe wrong as wrong AA battery weight... but roughly slightly above ~3kg

Hence, which Benro Tripod and Ballhead should I choose? and how much?

Also, can anyone suggest a good seller so that I can order via phone or email or private msg ?

Thanks

Bro, i think the manfrotto u mentioned is BH problem probably la, since u mentioned tat it choke when try to swivel around.. because the 190XPROB is like batu d woah.. should be lasting for quite some time, IMHO. But my prob with tat tripod is the weight and length.. Tats why i choose 190CXPRO4, working fine smile.gif But yeah, as u mentioned, need to check the screw once a while  sweat.gif

Manfrotto 190XPROB + 488C2 were suggested to me for my requirement ie weight slightly above 3kg.
And I was told that the 190XPROB (not the CX carbon fibre model) is very light (compared to other manfrotto aluminium tripod).

Just preparing for the future. Getting a tripod + ballhead for the future blush.gif

I thought I might as well assume the maximum weight that I may put on the tripod unsure.gif smile.gif

ieR, thanks for the info on Benro.

Ive done some "research" (or rather search), and I think Ive made up my mind to get a Benro Travel Angel. Im thinking of getting the A168M8 + B0 ballhead or the bigger bro the A268M8 + B1

I might be purchasing in bulk (ie meaning hopefully a few benros with some friends in a single order) to get a very good price (eg travel angel less ~RM60-100 from prices offered online) rclxm9.gif thumbup.gif

Come la ramai-ramai buy benro... biggrin.gif

thanks for the comment.
Yeah, I think if the midtones are darker, would create a better 'feel' ... I didnot realize that. Thanks for mentioning. smile.gif
