QUOTE(Gouki @ May 13 2010, 07:44 PM) d3000 share the same ccd sensor with a230 and a330~ diff between the a230 and a330 is the a330 comes with LiveView which a230 and d3000 dont have~ but of coz~ the a230 has larger Viewfinder~ the a230 and a330 is more superior with in-body image stabilisation and wireless flash function~ only turn off for most users on the a230/a330 is its small grip~ the choice is urs~ bro, so u are susgesting either a230 or a330 rather than d3000? because i heard sony dslr is better for lower range ones. dont know how true it is |

Here's what I mean by nicer color if I set the ISO to 200 or 400 instead of letting it shoot at AUTO ISO.
At ISO 200 or 400, the flash will be powerful while at auto, the flash will be weaker (ISO usually ranging from 800-1200 for my Tamron 1750) 2 pictures, taken consecutively. Basically, snap, change Iso to 400, snap..... Left picture, ISO set to auto. - Iso auto to 800 - Flash - weak Right picture, ISO set to 400. - Iso 400 - Flash - stronger No other settings were changed (Even the WB for both was registered as AUTO (0).) See the colour difference? Why the better colour with lower iso? Note : Oh ya, forgot. Flash is F20 but same effect if using my F58. This post has been edited by kmarc: May 13 2010, 09:26 PM |

i just answered kmarc privately.. but i will still tell why
the reason first picture appear a little blue is because metaphor: the florescent in the room fires at 100%, at iso800, it absorb more like, due to the fire fires weaker, perhaps (maybe) at 80% (20% weaker then the florescent, or proper term, shorter period, allow the rest of the opening shuttle for the florescent to overwrite the initial flash) i am now talking bout micro seconds. at iso200, the flashgun fires stronger (longer period to say) enough to over power the florescent light... hence the prettier WB picture and for the weird BG(kitchen)... yes, iso200 should have darker kitchen, but its the DRO that kicks in that make it greenish blue ^^. |
