wow.... bro u came back for mom's day wah so keng leh! 308T nice ler ! yes frenchies are a league of their own.....

For Mother's Day, and also for my annual leave mah...
I was actually quite surprised with the build quality of the 308T. Not sure whether it's the French or Naza's fault, but there are several shaky and rattling parts. The cockpit feels slightly cluttered compared to the Forte, while the buttons on the dashboard feels cheap. One of the underrated qualities of the Forte is the dashboard console where each button feels firm and sturdy to touch/press/turn. The Pug's white dials look very classy although under bright sun the reflection on the dial glass is pretty significant - the binnacles are simply not deep enough to avoid glare.
Driving wise, the steering is much more heavy than the Forte which may or may not be a bane depending on personal preference. The best thing I love about the car is the whirl of the turbocharger, feels like you're piloting a jet. Low end torque is absolutely superb, easily speeds up to 80, 90kmh on normal roads. The gearbox shifts slightly smoother than the Forte's but it's tweaked in a way that it upshifts quite late, which means that you spend more time in high rpms (higher FC, higher noise) at lower speeds. Due to this, the tacho needle often stays at 1.8-2K rpm whereas the Forte is more relaxed at 1.5K for urban driving.
The shift-tronic is even more rigid than the Forte. Absolute no upshifting to 4th with speeds under 50kmh, and it always downshifts at low speeds even if you're just slowing down for a short while to give way/avoid other cars. However, shiftronics are similar to manual boxes where you just gotta find the sweet spot to make gear changes. In auto-mode it feels much better than the Forte due to the lack of torque dip. Turbo lag is barely noticable - present at very low speeds and only if you deliberately look for it.
Ride harshness... hard to compare due to the appalling road surfaces in JB. Australian roads aren't much better to be honest but at least when it rains it seldom turns into a mudpool. One thing to keep in mind while driving the 308 is its long snout. It's easy to knock into pillars without even noticing, and luckily this hasn't happened to me yet.
Nevertheless this is only after 1 day of driving... my perception may change as time goes but Forte will always be the best.... until I get the K5
