That's not bad at all then the price! As long as you don't mind the size. Not big at all I went to see at the showroom but was disappointed by the boot space... but u get a higher sitting position and 4 wheel drive..

Added on December 27, 2012, 11:16 pm

Ehh u already have a mazda 3 what civic will be the same segment. Go try the XV lah or wait for crv..
Just my opinion but the decision all yours..

>> no money already.  1 person loan 2 car is not easy smile.gif  in fact the car is not me using smile.gif  one person can not use 2 cars.    Civic 2.0 is a very very good deal  rclxms.gif

Chizzu, I dont think u should delay this any longer because you know going through this scheme is already a long winded affair. Worse if you're opting for the jap cars that could drag you a further 6-7 months (happening to me with honda right now). For all you know the 2 years may already be up!

Care to share how much you bought your Mazda 3 so that we can compile the price for future reference?

Chizzu I was told by the kind manager at mazda that they are now only concentrating on mazda6 which has just launched few months ago. When this dies down then they will concentrate on the cx5 ckd version, and then maybe the skyactive cbu. We are looking at at least another year at least..

I am actually looking forward for cx5 ckd model with skyactiv engine. It's in my list together with subaru xv and crv 2013. Not really fancy crv but cx5 is quite desirable. I think cx5 is larger than subaru xv since its an SUV while xv is a crossover

Cx5 is a great choice. The current waiting list still 6 months for new orders. I wonder why Mazda is not concentrating on the CKD version because demand is already over supply..

Went to a couple of showroom to get more details on REP tax free prices.

VW: Passat price is 142,245.45 (146,814.65 with insurance)
Hyundai: the sales girl never heard of REP/MM2H sweat.gif
Peugeot: Only 6k off on all their CKD models. Reason being all their models are already sold at price without tax.

kinda disappointed with Peugeot offerings.

I am sorry the title might be a bit misleading but if you refer to the first post, this thread is discussing about the tax free incentive for buting CKD cars under the Returning Expoerts Programme.

I dont buy the salesman's talk but i am too lazy to ask around another peugeot showroom.

Went to Mazda HQ at Glenmarie last weekend to enquite about CX-5. Tentatively the launching of the CKD version will be around June earliest. And they told me that it will knock down 10k from existing price for CKD version but from what i heard from them, there would be only 10k+ tax free exemption for CX-5 which brings down the price to around 135-140k price range.

Sigh, with that price i might as well go for Passat sad.gif

Why not give subaru XV a consideration? In terms or passenger legroom it win hands down if compare to cx-5 but the boot space is a bit let down since its a crossover. Furthermore subaru is famous for its AWD while the new crv and cx5 is only 2WD and you need to pay more for the AWD version.

Thanks for the advise. Guess I will go on a test drive and see how happy I am. On my initial visit I was too disappointed with the boot space so didn't test drive.
