is that a true turbillon? or just a type of open heart/skeleton?

edit: there are models claim to be turbillon but is actually an open heart..

I don't think u can track it after its with Msia post.
I couldn't track it once its passed to USPS.
*
yeah...you can't track registered mail once it is passed to your local postal service..e.g. USPS 1st class priority can't be tracked once it's passed to Pos Malaysia/Australia Post..

U don't ever open the back of the watches, leave it for the professional.
with mechanical dust may get it and cause issue; water damage easy to fix just send it in to get oil and clean.
with quartz/kinetic not really an issue but if U don't put it back right water can get in and cause issue which may result in replacing the entire circuit.

if it those Seiko Kinetic the capacitor/battery last for ~10yrs b4 U need to change.
for those pure automatic U need get it oil and clean every 5yrs.

they are all Sapphire.

Seiko SNA481 Sportura Men Chronograph ~ 1k
SEIKO PREMIER MULTIFUNCTION SAPPHIRE RETROGRADE SRL021 ~900.
Seiko Premier Chrono Alarm Perpetual SPC051 ~1.2k
SEIKO SPC007P1 VELATURA ALARM CHRONOGRAPH ~1.3k
http://www.uhr.info/products/en/Chronograp...HR/UHR-284.html Oops that I am wrong! it is ~1.6k
http://www.watchseller.com/volovwinmidf.html ~1.2K
http://www.watchseller.com/eposwatches.html cheapest starts at 900 (big sale now else cheapest is 2.7k)

swiss quartz
http://www.christopherward.co.uk/sale/prev...en/nnc4skk.html ~700
Jap - Orient
http://www.orientwatchusa.com/watches.html many within your budget.
*
1 question...are watches from UHR swiss made? the chrono is using valjuox 7750 but there's not "swiss made" branding on the dial...does that mean the watch doesn't fulfill certain critetias to have the swiss made branding..?

those leather ~1K cannot take water abuse

U got to get special straps eg
http://fredawatchstraps.com/dimodell.html

some strap cost alot more and they are water resistance to 300m. in any case get full steel watch.

thanks for the useful info~  thumbup.gif  Personally i like SRL021 and SPC051. However i have one question here. What's the main difference between metal strap and leather strap? i konw one is made of metal, and one is made of leather biggrin.gif  Other differences? for example the durability? lifespan? can't wear leather strap watch during bath or what? because from my experience the holes on the leather strap easily worn off after several years (or even months!). Don't know about the around-1k-grade-watches. Sorry and please don't bother to these noob questions as i'm knowing so little about watches and just started to learn about it...  sad.gif
*
can try deployment clasp type leather if you are worried about lifespan..

*borrowed pic*

less stress on the leather band..

Seiko overpriced? Try look at Tag and other Swiss brand!
Seiko done everything in-house, even down to their own movement oi!
Even Tag (Caliber 1887) is based on Seiko's movement!

Citizen and Orient too...

hmm so does it mean Swiss brand is generally cheaper? or more worth the price?
And any obvious difference between Swiss watches and Japanese watches? of course la, normally the more bucks u spend the better quality watch u get... For me owning a Swiss watch gives Wow factor to others but besides that? any other reason? hmm.gif
*
Swiss are generally more expensive...but more expensive doesn't mean better quality...
sometimes japanese quality is far better than swiss..swiss brands has the "wow" factor like you mentioned..

QUOTE(Ethan07 @ Jan 7 2011, 12:03 AM)
wow... i just realize... highwind85, from what i know is people buy more than one watches to keep for value, eg Rolex. but 2 Seiko, one G-shock, one Orient? May i ask how u use these watches? wear according to mood? or use different watch during different location? no offence ya... =)
*
QUOTE(patryn33 @ Jan 7 2011, 01:33 AM)
ppl buy more than 1 watch for many reason. not really for value.
not all Rolex hold their value well.

ppl can choose to wear 2 watches.
or change every so often. weekly. daily hourly etc!
*
Haha...Patryn has answered that for me...watches, like most other things doesn't hold their value well...unless you're collecting limited editions...
so yeah...i wear my seiko 5 and g-shock as beater...orient if i feel i want something dressier and seiko premier if i want something classier...
And seiko by no means any poorer than swiss watches....the finishing on on the seiko can beat any tissot any day...

QUOTE(blasto @ Jan 7 2011, 01:45 AM)
i would wear rolex for weddings, reunions, business meetings, business talk, casual outing, watch shopping etc..
will wear it more often when i turn older.

casio/seiko/omega during work (im not boss, so its ok)

opps its highwind85 line, sorry... shocking.gif

Do you have complication watches, i.e. moon phase, perpetual calender, month? that need to keep it running constantly?
Else save your money and buy more watches, that's my humble opinion.  sweat.gif

+1...it's too much of a hassle to reset the watch times when wanna wear them...
