does it still glow? I did some goggling on it, seem like rolex made the switch some where during 1998-00. and the glow goes away after 12-13yrs

Nope, no more glow at all. Most collectors will prefer this way and wait for it to change to patina or yellowish to preseve the value and vintage look.

hmmm...pricing not far from each other...which GMT will you go for?
Sinn 857 or Fortis GMT...

I'll go for Sinn smile.gif

QUOTE(Maverick @ Jul 8 2010, 04:21 PM)
prolly the history of the watch itself...
i guess its all about myself, i prefer complicated but not sophisticated watch...
i'll go for something sporty instead of classy...
*
Pam is not a complicated watch (at least for its base models). Only 2 or or 3 hands watch.

No worries Mave[rick], watch purchasing is very personal and subjective. Buy what you like and enjoy wearing.

Not a sifu nor a 'real' watch collector here, we all are just watch lovers, aren't we biggrin.gif

Ok Mave[rick], am not so familiar with Chopard here, but I do believe they are using their own movement. In other words, Chopard is not using the norm ETA movement which 90% of siwss watchmakers are using. Thus, the price is high compared to the rest.

Worth it or not? Well, for each their own.
