I read the T&Cs carefully, the campaign of RM50 cash back (service tax reimbursement) will run until 30-6-10. Anyway, I will forgo the Samsonite luggage.however, if u use 3 times regardless any amount, it will rebate back the RM50 in your 3rd statement |

QUOTE(simplesmile @ Jun 26 2010, 11:40 AM) I've just been charged the RM50 tax on my SCB JustOne credit card. Will SCB give me 10,000 free points in my coming statement? Did you receive a letter from SCB recently? I received the letter stating they will give me free 11,000 points if I swipe my JustOne cc 3 times in June. While awaiting the free 11,000 points to be deposited into my account, I need to utilise my own 10,000 points first to redeem the RM50 service tax. In the end, I still get free 1,000 points.QUOTE(feralee @ Jun 26 2010, 12:23 PM) Were you referring to JustOne cc or other cc or brand new cc? I don't think SCB would give this kind of offer to JustOne cc. |

QUOTE(hye @ Jun 26 2010, 04:08 PM) I didn't get any letter about this. SCB replied my email saying they will reset the rebate on 1st July. Guess we will know it later whether rebate system still exist or not. Rebates (fresh cash back) and free points are 2 different things. You meant SCB didn't offer you free 11,000 points (indirectly it is service tax reimbursement)? I thought this offer is given to all JustOne CCs which are due for renewal these 2 months. |

QUOTE(jonuslee @ Jun 27 2010, 01:06 AM) Anyone using eon bank new credit card user? Eon bank has promotion of RM50 cash back if swipe 3 times within 2 months from card approval date. It stated it will reflect in the 3rd statement. but when my 3rd statement come, it din c\show the RM50 cash back. How?Please help me You need to call their CS to clarify. EON Bank is trying to improve their service but is still not as efficient as other banks. If you read the T&Cs carefully, the RM50 cash back campaign runs until end June 2010. Unless EON Bank extends this promotion, otherwise those apply for their newly launched Visa Signature and get the card after June will not be able to receive the RM50 cash back. Furthermore, the T&Cs also state that EON Bank has the right to claim back the RM50 cash back from you in the event that you have been given the RM50 cash but you would like to terminate your card within a year from the new card approval date. This implies that you have to fork out for the second year service tax. |

QUOTE(hye @ Jun 27 2010, 08:25 AM) From my perspective, banks can do whatever they want - customers just need to be alert to this and react accordingly. I am also not surprised if SCB changes the T&Cs for JustOne card. In fact, SCB has reduced the interest rates of JustOne current account several times.JustOne technically does not exist anymore in SCB's active line - well at least they no longer issue this card to new applicants. Probably this is the only card in Malaysia which has seen less than 6 months for public application and then close. Besides, SCB may not gain much from JustOne cc as most of the JustOne cardholders could be those early birds with wise attitude. |

QUOTE(shoduken @ Jun 30 2010, 02:06 AM) guys a spinoff question by me lol If allowed, I wanna swipe all my purchases using cc without cash. I always pay <RM20 via cc, such as Guardians, Dome Cafe, Giant, Tesco, Starbucks, and many more. is it "too-over" if i swipe my card for meal for 2 that cost RM 40+ or RM 15 for a Guardian's shop item? I do that because cost each RM1 means a point for my card. anyone think that it's kinda "over" to swipe card for something below RM50? QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Jun 30 2010, 11:57 AM) The one issued by EON Bank is slightly better, but it is still not good enough as compared to other CCs offering bigger cash back and points. |

QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Jun 30 2010, 02:33 PM) Well, if your main concern is "reward points" only, Amex Gold cc so far gives the most points for local transactions. As for overseas transactions, Alliance Plat cc, CIMB World MC and Amex also give x2 points, while SCB VI and SCB Plat cc give x5 points and x3 points respectively. And of course, other Plat CCs do sometimes give x2 points for overseas transactions, but it is always temporary in nature. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 1 2010, 06:23 PM) WHAT ? Stamping fee ? HSBC did not charge me any fee at all when i applied for their credit card by pledging my Time Deposit to it. I believe Public Bank is not going to charge you anything too. Public Bank is the only bank that state publicly in their website that you can apply for secured credit card. Chase, I just wonder, what is the ratio of your CL given by HSBC as opposed to your pledged FD? Since you have done it before, you are the right people to enlighten people here. CL for secured cc varies and is always a debatable question, as secured cc is for those who cannot show proof of income or those do not meet the minimum income requirement. |

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jul 2 2010, 12:37 AM) Anyway I remember that you mentioned SCB business platinum cashback is immediately credited on that particular month itself right? Meaning I spend 20k this month I get 100 rebate on this month bill immediately and also 20k rewards points? One good thing about SCB cards is that, cash back is immediately given after the retail transaction is completed. You will be able to see the cash back amount online for every single transaction 1 or 2 days after the transaction date. Whereas other banks normally show a lump sum, and some even only show the bullet cash back amount when cash rebates have accumulated to a certain amount. |

And RM30k CL is too little now. Anyway under normal circumstances, very few people use up the entire RM30k CL per month.QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Jul 2 2010, 11:13 AM) The Citibank VS comes with Priority Pass Card, how about Eonbank VS? Does it comes with Priority Pass Card too? 3 times per year only. |

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jul 2 2010, 05:50 PM) This giveaway not available for business card? Does business card comes under Corporate Liability Cards? This SCB Business Plat card has nothing to do with corporate card. In fact, it only prints your company name on the card but it serves like normal Plat card. It is even better than the conventional SCB Plat cc as it gives cash back on top of choice points. Therefore, this card is included in the giveaway promotion. This post has been edited by winner: Jul 2 2010, 06:49 PM |

I tested charging a small amount on my SCB JustOne cc on Friday. And yes, SCB has reset the cash back and that transaction earned 5% cash back when I check my account online.
