QUOTE(maru @ Jul 6 2010, 06:05 PM) huh u sure? What I meant was that, you would only get the MAXIMUM cash back if you could spend RM5k. It is to note that Alliance's cash back is based on tier rate. The more you spend (up to RM5k), the higher rebate rate you would get.normally i spent till 2k, they still giving me back rm8.50 thats y i using 2 different card for my major spending.... |

It looks like the sleeping giant, PBB is offering the BEST cash back promotion in town. My hands are a bit itchy now. Does PBB give any incentives for reimbursement of the RM50 service tax?

What I am concerned is that PBB is not going to extend the cash back promotion when I get the card, knowing that PBB has been running the promotion for quite some time now. PBB CCs are useless if no cash back is given.

QUOTE(alexwsk @ Jul 7 2010, 02:20 PM) Gosh! PBB is throwing $$$. You should inform me earlier. The maximum cash back for overseas transactions during the promotion period is RM200 upon a cumulative spending of RM500, which is up to 40% cash back! |

QUOTE(maru @ Jul 7 2010, 12:37 PM) I checked with the CS again. It's confirmed that you will get RM60 cash back if you hit a cumulative spending of RM80 (regardless of how many swipes) within 60 days after the card approval date. However, you will need to pay the RM50 service tax in advance. |

Just received a confirmation from SCB. SCB has already compensated the RM50 service tax I paid last month (via 10,000 points redemption) with free 11,000 points.

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jul 25 2010, 11:14 AM) Last month I received an offer letter from SCB, indicating that they would grant me 11,000 points in July if I swipe my JustOne cc 3 times of any amount in June. This offer only gives to those cards approaching anniversary date. But I am not sure whether they extend this offer to all SCB cardholders. I guess they are trying to retain existing customers. |

Chase, it should be RM50 voucher, not RM100.
The best redemption is cash redemption from Amex (200 points for RM1) and SCB (5,000 points for RM25). Better redeem cash fast before the banks increase the points requirement. |

DAMN it!!! Last Friday I used my SCB JustOne card to swipe RM1200 at a furniture shop. I kept reminding the retailer to select credit function. The transaction successfully went through and I just looked at the amount correctly without checking the card number on the transaction slip.
To my surprise, when I checked my transactions online just now, I noticed that the transaction done at the furniture shop on last Friday was actually from the debit card. And the stupid retailer made me lost 5% cash back. This is the danger of the credit cum debit card. |

QUOTE(jack2 @ Aug 9 2010, 11:39 PM) I maintain quite a significant amount in my JustOne current account, as it gives comparatively high interest rate apart from additional choice points, ie., 1 choice point for every RM10 account balance.Next time I have to witness the cashiers swiping the card. However, it is out of my control if I use the card at restaurants and pubs. |

QUOTE(aspire9838 @ Aug 10 2010, 06:00 PM) Is the merchant use AMBANK Terminal...? It's Public Bank.If Yes, AMBANK terminal will force to go on Debit then Credit. QUOTE(CyberianHusky @ Aug 10 2010, 06:33 PM) Im using citibank and i really kinda like they send me my statement via e-mail every month instead of the normal post. Saves paper and i can easily retrieve it as it stores inside my e-mail. Storing tons of paper kinda messed up sometimes. But i'm thinking of migrating to other banks now. In fact, most banks have gone GREEN now. Customers are encouraged to receive e-statements via e-mails. Some even indirectly force customer to receive e-statements. |

What the hell is this SCB doing! I saw an annual fee of RM200 charged on my online statement. When SCB launched JustOne card last year, it was clearly stated that AF is automatically waived if your yearly spending exceeds RM15,000. I just call SCB CS to query, and was informed SCB would only waive the AF upon request.

QUOTE(choonkeong @ Aug 12 2010, 11:40 PM) RM200 annual fee for Just One Card not yet, may be because I already use more than RM15,000 for the previous year. I spent well above RM15,000 on my JustOne card last year but the RM200 AF was still shown in my current e-statement on 11/8/10. The CS officer informed that the AF waiver will only be reflected in my next statement. So basically I have to pay the RM200 first and get reimbursement next month in order to avoid interest. For your information, SCB imposed different dates of service tax and AF for my card, which was due in June and August respectively. |
