LOL I think overpriced is the original M sport rims from the BMW dealerships

M sport rims can go from RM15k - RM23k

BBS still affordable, around RM6-RM8k depending on size and models. Roughly around the same pricing for OZ rims as well. Will try to avoid replicas especially after my experience with them from my past Civic experience and Golf experience.

If you are getting it from the dealers such as Quill, Auto Bavaria or Ingress, you can opt for either 3 years BRSI or 5 years BRSI. That means for either 3 years or 60,000km mileage, your routine maintenance such as oil change and minor changes are all free. Just sent my car in for the 20,000km service, didn't pay a single cent. Funny thing was that I sent it in at 19,000km to replace a blown bulb and they just said why not service it at the same time.

Seriously iDrive is amazing man! I love watching DVD's in the car while being stuck in the jam on an amazing 10" screen, bluetooth for my phone so I can answer calls and make calls just pressing a button on my steering, streaming music from my iPhone or online radios and the navigation system as well.

It will show a black screen and you can still hear the video in the background while the car is moving but there is a way to remove that and have the DVD player play DVD's while you are driving

No hacking required, just need to untick a check box using an OBD2 port cable and a software.

Service is available from the BMWclub malaysia forums. There is a guy there who does coding and he can do this with lots of other freebies thrown in

Bro the car is a recond car so it won't be new, the 1 year warranty I think comes from the 2nd hand dealer. If you do decide to go for it make sure you know what exactly is covered in the 1 year warranty and get it in writing.

That is the scary bit because we don't know how to really track those kind of things, it really does seem to be quite suspicious especially if it is very low mileage.

Yeah I had the same issue as you did, was looking at a recon 335i versus a new car. Decided to go with the new car instead.

Yeah but having only two doors and having no warranty makes me a little afraid to take the jump.

Might as well go for the new F30 335i 4-doors, HUD, sports version and get it in red! That would be the best and ideal situation for me. But alas, the damn car is >400k.

If it is the 2.0 Scirocco, I would dare say it is better than the GTI. Same power and all but the Scirocco beats the Golf in terms of handling due to its nature of having 2 doors and also a lower stance.

Don't forget to calculate the lengths of the loan. Not many banks now offer 9 years loan if you put in 10% downpayment. Best is to take a loan with BMW Credit, longest period they loan if I am not mistaken is 8 years.
