Bcoz my dear friend..maintenace for a seven series is almost treble of a 5 series. A pneumatic absorber cost RM10k each. And also RoadTax unless it is paid by your company cost as much as RM3000++. Even waer and tear parts is expensive for a seven series especially suspension parts. The have to replace the whole arm for worn bushings. Check out the Maintenace cost in BMWclubmalaysia forum for lead.

Browsed thru the forum and yes, maintanance cost arms and legs, also the gearbox problem. Asking this because my uncle offered a 06 730i to my dad, RM170k, sit inside and my dad fall in love. Visited the showroom for the F30 recently but he feel F30 is too young for him He might go for new 520d or Pre-owned E90 325i. Anyway, always dream for an E46

Well, 730li does hold higher resale value mostly because of the lower road tax and better reliability. 735 onwards (all V8), you can find incredibly low price used units because its very likely that they have worn out O-ring on the coolant pipe which leads to coolant leaks. The O-ring itself is pretty cheap, but to replace the O-ring the entire engine has to be removed from the engine bay and that incurs alot of man hours/money. Besides, the 735 roadtax is around 4k, 745 around 8k, means even more money to spend Btw this coolant leakage affects all N62 V8 bmw's, so if you come across a 545i, 645i that is too cheap to be true, you know what to look out for

Hi. I am interested with the brand new bmw. But not the f30, but the latest generation before f30. Is it still on sale? I heard got lots of discount?. Interested to get one but stuck with several option and need to really look at the budget. Thinking about mazda 3 but try to think about this particular brand new bmw 320i e90.
What is the cost of regular maintenance if i send to dealer for service? If i bought recond/grey importer, is it wise for me to service in auto bavaria?
Currently driving a vios, just thinking to get a better car and vios will be my second car.

But the comfort for 7 series is killing, it's too comfortable to ride on. Anyway, thanks again

Maintenance would cost slightly more compared to an Accord/Camry. 3. If you buy AP cars (without warranty), it's better to do everything at BMW Specialists than going back to AB. Any authorized SC will cut your throat so if there's no warranty, what's the point going back there?

Ahh.. E65 7 series with V8.. drool! comfort, toys, presence of it.their price are also tempting.. but maintenance especially for early 2002-2003 model must be a nightmare, more so for a V8. E90 models surely cheaper so that they can clear the stock This post has been edited by phas3r: Apr 25 2012, 08:59 PM

QUOTE(leechers @ Apr 25 2012, 08:48 PM) Clawhammer. Thanks for the information. How much normally a routine maintenance charged at AB? If you are getting it from the dealers such as Quill, Auto Bavaria or Ingress, you can opt for either 3 years BRSI or 5 years BRSI. That means for either 3 years or 60,000km mileage, your routine maintenance such as oil change and minor changes are all free. Just sent my car in for the 20,000km service, didn't pay a single cent. Funny thing was that I sent it in at 19,000km to replace a blown bulb and they just said why not service it at the same time.

I love watching DVD's in the car while being stuck in the jam on an amazing 10" screen, bluetooth for my phone so I can answer calls and make calls just pressing a button on my steering, streaming music from my iPhone or online radios and the navigation system as well.
