QUOTE(azxel @ May 6 2010, 10:25 AM)
You don't see a lot of 320 for sale... 325 and 328 got la... Not a lot of people would want to pay for RM880 (for the 325) or RM1600 (for the 328) for road tax on such an old car.

I think the 318 is fine. Underpowered yes, definitely... but still smooth on the highway. Drives at 140 very smoothly.
*
No offense but i think if wanna go for e36, best to go for the 328i la. good torque. only probs is the roadtax and FC. if wanna get 318i might as well as get a waja..... haha. 1.8L but only 115hp ?

QUOTE(tishaban @ May 7 2010, 04:52 PM)
KeV it's not too late to turn back from the dark side haha. I went to test drive the 320d and 325i, great cars but a bit on the expensive side. Still looking for a 4-door 330i somewhere.
*
330i e90? that's very rare and i think 325i is a better buy, want more power jump straight till 335i.

QUOTE(KeV @ May 8 2010, 03:24 AM)
i do like bmw, i almost bought e30 320i coupe, but my father wants newer car so got me neo and it was a piece of crap, lol!

would have been better if i got the bmw, haha
*
e30>neo? like that i want to buy e30 also la thumbup.gif

BEST BMW: BMW E39 528i TOURING (Wagon).  Super RARE in Malaysia.  If there's one for sale, E-mail me. otoreview@gmail.com...

E39 528i Sedan also good...  Found a white 1996 528i (CBU with Glass Sunroof) unit in Mudah for RM49,800 Nego.
*
528i e39 best car in the world back in the late 90s...i'm dreaming of 525/530 e39 although i'm a bit young.. 528i is pre facelift so it's a bit old lol

QUOTE(RCrex @ May 13 2010, 02:58 PM)
bmw i drove b4 in my life currently

E30 320i coupe, 318i sedan, 325i sedan.
E46 320i msport
E90 320i msport
Z3 2.0(rare in malaysia)

always a slow car in acceleration, but handling is always good and stable
*
slow? come on la. the ones u test drive are all equipped with puny small engines only(except 325i but still). try something like 330i or m3 la. and bmw is not about speed only. luxury driving pleasure etc is also important to them... anybody can make a kancil go fast

QUOTE(AtMostFear @ May 13 2010, 04:40 PM)
I've always been in love with BMWs, so when I came to the States to further my studies I decided to get one as it's way cheaper here. Bought a '98 E36 323is, been in love with it ever since I bought it last year. It's too bad I'll have to part with it when I graduate in another year.  cry.gif

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ May 14 2010, 12:40 AM)
Then let me tell you.. a 335...insane. The pickup, the speed..god.

My friend tested his rx7 and 335...rx7(modded) got smoked! 335 smoked his porche too(forgot what model)
*
335i modified can smoke m3 e92 already. the 335i stock already so fast it makes me wonder why u need to buy e92 m3

QUOTE(KenDiriwan @ Jun 7 2010, 07:00 PM)

QUOTE(alimony @ Jun 9 2010, 07:02 PM)
yep, thats the color code. not to say i dont like speed, but then we cant have it all sad.gif

speed machine in the stable is an r129 mercedes SL300.
*
QUOTE(papayaman @ Jun 9 2010, 10:10 PM)
The r129 sl is pretty under powered if you ask me. My friend drives his dad's one around, and i have driven the car hard a couple of times. Nothing fancy if u ask me, accelerations not that catchy..just looks really darn good! smile.gif
But it could be due to the fact his dad never whacks the car, so its not used to a good spirited drive..

Added on June 9, 2010, 10:10 pmBtw, is a 335 or a 135 faster?
*
i have to agree as well, the r129 sl300 is a heavy car even with a 3.0L engine it can't be that quick. maybe it will do better at higher speeds though

335 vs 135? same engine, one of them is lighter. 135 by a small margin la.

modded 335i 300km/h

nice hd 1080p video of the new 760Li. 6.0 V12 twin turbo. 544PS. nuff said! also RM1,388,000 rclxub.gif very fast

also how to understand the E39 E60 E this E that etc etc

E codenames are to differentiate between what generations
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_3_Series_%28E46%29
look above wikipedia link at the below page. all codenames for all bmw

QUOTE(Damonzero @ Jul 23 2010, 08:04 PM)
Actually i prefer the facelifted e90 3 series but my budget is only enuff for the pre-facelift which doesnt have the idrive navigator (which e60 5 series have) i'm a sucker for technology stuff hehe.

imo both are sporty in its own way , only minus point for prefacelift e90 is the rear white reverse light... hmmm...

What u think Johan?
*
u can change the rear preFL e90 to grey ones, i think that look nice. not sure if can convert rear light from preFL to FL though.
i think preFL 325i sports e90 has the idrive

QUOTE(victor87 @ Jul 27 2010, 06:26 PM)

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Aug 3 2010, 01:27 PM)
You do know that with just an ecu upgrade the 335 is capable of playing off the m3 right?

Also, bare in mind the 335 is twin turbo, while the m3 is NA.
If im to perform extensive mods on the 335, its capable of leaving the m3 far off!
*
trust me, 335i is really really fast. until spoil m3 e92's reputation even.

modded 335 vs modded m3.. filmed inside m3

darn it dude, how do u get to test drive the 335? my dream car drool.gif

QUOTE(chezzball @ Aug 10 2010, 03:43 PM)
meaning this AB salesman phail his BMW knowledge loh? he no study his product properly and straight said 320i > 320d in top speed
*
well i guess in malaysia top speed is not that important i think.. more of bragging to friends got la. unless you drive on the autobahn highway in germany.
anyways, in acceleration the 320d might even tapao the 325i la.325 is higher revving car summore. only at the higher speeds the 325i can reach till 242kph where the 320d can only do 228kph.
320d vs 325i discussion:
http://bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33806

yes in BCM forums(you should join there) you can see quite a lot of fan of 320d, even one of them went overboard until got flamed.

QUOTE(tishaban @ Aug 10 2010, 11:05 PM)
sah salesguy trying to pull wool over your eyes. 320d top speed is higher than 320i. I have driven the E90 320i, 320d, 323i, 325i and 330i. The 320i, 320d and 325i were back to back, the 323i and 330i were loaner cars that I used for roughly a day each. The 320d acceleration is fantastic, even better than the 325i until you're beyond 150km/h. The 330i is even better but for the price, the 320d combination of torque and fuel consumption is hard to beat. Hard for me to imagine why people are still buying the 320i, Malaysian buyers are lemmings sometimes biggrin.gif

I'll introduce you to a better AB salesguy and we can go for a spin if you're serious.  biggrin.gif
*
that's the prob man. malaysian mentality. if diesel no good.
but then again the poor quality of malaysian diesel could be the culprit. european's diesel is way better than us.

wahlau, so many bimmers you got to drive mang, gimme a ride la! you should try 335i man.

convert to 1jz or m3 is good idea.
but of course 1jz is more sensible choice. but lacks bmw feel.
m3 engine sure hard to find and expensive also harder to maitain. but worth it, at least for me.

oh lucky you.. but it should be the same driving a 530i.. the 6er is more of a cruiser than a sports car.
i wonder how's the performance of the v8 645ci?
also the used values of 645 is lower than 630, i guess because they older.(2003-2004) and bigger cc cars are harder to sell
