But CBU built quality is better. Just the downside the spec way too basic. I saw one alpina white f30 320d in kuching 2 days ago. But the colour is not appealing as white e90. But damn the headlight is attractive in its own way just like the audis.

Any idea why modern lines arent brought in? I like modern line for its beige interior and clean design.

I still young so prefer f30  brows.gif
F30 335 vs 328i actually not much difference i guess. I saw the comparision in youtube videos on the acceleration from 0-150km/h. Only few seconds difference so i think not worth the extra price tag eh. New 6series has serious look too. One fella in bmwclubmalaysia bought it and it is realy gorgeous!
*
depends how u see the few seconds, i guess u should have also listen to the sound of the engine rev? the 4 pot is so dull but the 6 pot one is really nice hahaha..

Serious stuff,

the 335 has all the additional specs that it suppose to be in the F30 328 sports or other lines, like the 16 harmon cardons, HUD, and adapative suspensions....

I'm actually quite okay with the CBU f30 320d spec, but one thing i cannot stand are those cheap looking 17" rims  shakehead.gif

Really the difference is that huge ? What stuffs from the e90 320d that werent in the f30 320d ? only navigation right ?  hmm.gif
Yeah that's the reason why he wants CBU in the first place, quality is better. In my house there's one CKD e90 320i, always cause problem, one time the rear passenger power window wont go back up...really? power window problem in BMW ? like Proton only  laugh.gif

but i guess he's willing to forgo that for better specs..

not sure about modern line, but since CBU they didnt bring in any modern lines, so i assuming they wont bring any for CKD too.
*
dont scare me la.. i m gonna get the CKD 328i Sports trim, Just waiting for the specs to be out. Or might place booking fees 1st.

But really i cant paid 300k for the CBU 328i Sports, specs is really =.=

haha yeah but that's probably gonna happen bro if you get CKD,
but first 3 years or so probably going to be problem free, that e90 in my house is almost 4 years old already, that's why got few problems sometimes...

Just think like this, the extra bucks you pay for CBU is for quality assurance smile.gif but have to sacrifice specs la

BTW 328i drool.gif nice, can smoke all those Golf GTI laugh.gif

Hi guys, i'm considering the preowned 320d e90 & would like to seek confirmation if fuel consumption for city drive is really as claimed, 6.5l/100km? My current 2010 accord is 11l/100km..almost double! Of course, i keep a decent pattern of <3k rpm with 50-50 city/hiway.

I was driving Accord 2.4 (K24A) previously and moving to BMW 530i (N53), the consumption is more or less the same. One full tank would give me around 480-500km pure city driving so you can take mine as a benchmark. It's hard to tell specifically because everyone drives differently but I can safely say BMW cars have better consumption compared to Accord (if you take into account the additional power).

Is the Accord fuel tank capacity the same as the 5 series? Just to make sure that range on a full tank doesn't mean better consumption, just that the tank may be bigger smile.gif

Also 320d theoretically can get 6.5l/100km, as diesel has a higher energy density than petrol. My 330xD takes about 11.5l/100km city, while Autobahn about 7.5l/100km. 3 liter diesel FTW. tongue.gif

It's only a 5 liter difference biggrin.gif Accord 2.4 was 65 litres, my E60 is 70 litres.

M-sport steering wheel, semi bucket seats, navigation, 10" iDrive screen versus the 7" screen on the F30, m sport suspension, m sport door sills and a few other things I can't remember. Personally the 7" iDrive screen and no navigation is a turn off.

I managed to get around 850km on a full tank for a mix 50/50 highway city driving.

Too bad Msian BMW buyers are constrained to either basic spec or high spec with fixed extras regardless if you want or not.

In my opinion though, accessories are overpriced even in Germany, but at least one can get the exact car one wants, since the combinations are endless, only limited to what's possible and your wallet.

Bluetooth and USB for EUR890 anyone?

Just for fun, I configured a 335i with as much extras as possible. I came up to 70.8k Euros. One might be able to get that price down to about 65k at the dealer.

I'm a 6 pot lover, sure the 4 pot in performance wise is just a tiny bit slower but it lacks the orgasmic sound the 6 potters make. Plus the 335i is better for future tuning brows.gif

Very true about the sound, but the 335i doesn't sound as good as the older 330i. Whatever they did with the direct injection and turbo killed the orgasmic sound somewhat. I used to downshift to M4 on the highway just to keep at 4-5k rpm to listen to the lovely sound biggrin.gif

For 100% city driving I get roughly 8l/100km. For highway driving at 110km/h I'll get maybe 4 - 4.5l/100km. Yes it'll beat your Accord consumption easily without even trying.

yeah, well what to do. BMW had to use turbo's

i will forever love the sound of a straight-six naturally aspirated engine. I actually prefer the sound of the e46 m3's s54 engine to the newer e90/e92 v8 m3

but that been said i prefer the v8 in the e92 m3 over the new v8 twin turbo in the f10 m5.

There's nothing better sounding than a Naturally Aspirated engine thumbup.gif

Perhaps it's the exhaust sound you're talking about? smile.gif If so, consider replacing the stock 335i exhaust with Akrapovic or Eisenmann Race. I bet you will enjoy the sound.
